Rookie move, the key is to have pocket sand that you throw into their eyes to give you move time and to make room for the pocket change...

I got sick of all of the super heroes movies and shows. But Jessica Jones is actually good. I would recommend it. More of a detective show mixed with some superhero elements.

This role made me realise just how good an actor he is. Seriously freaked me out how good he was.

For me, he was easily the most terrifying Marvel villain.

I haven't seen this yet but if you haven't checked out Inside Man he does an amazing job there too.

Couldn't you just move to the side a bit?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Oh sure, I could move backwards into their crotch, forward into the path of someone's cart as they're leaving, right into the barrier, or left over the pinpad into the cashier's lap.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Exactly. I do this while walking away.

Hi, it's me. Guy who's super anal retentive about his finances. While you're glaring at me for holding up the line, I'm just passing that shade on to the cashier whom I have now asked twice for a receipt and is looking at me like I just asked for their first born child. I'm not leaving without one. Sorry about the wait.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I've been a cashier... Just give him a minute, each interaction and calculation is simple on its own but he's been doing it all day. It's harder than it looks!

Having to make change and sml talk and not letting the mask slip is a juggling act that's difficult to keep up week after week

Me trying to put my credit card and receipt in my pocket

[–] [email protected] 4 points 10 months ago

The amount of times I've thought I've lost my credit card because I throw it in a random pocket out of panic.

Maybe you don’t want the banking corporations to know you purchased lube & a ham sandwich. Inb4 some goober says tap-to-pay with Google or Apple, which now lets the banking corporations & big tech know your purchase history too.

Cash is a great.

Hey it's me, I'm the goober. I've given up on life so I don't care about anything anymore.

You can start with a few steps in the direction of privacy & slowly build to it rather than dismissing the concept.
