Purely anecdotal, but I play World of Warcraft and I clocked significantly less bots farming herbs/ore around. On a more serious note, Ukraine has accomplished many things, but if they can bring down Russian propaganda bots it might be the biggest gift to the world yet.

Much like most anecdotes, it's not really based in reality. 👍

A particular party in the BBC may not have been able to measure a difference in their monitoring. Okay. But I would take it with a grain of salt...

Science can't prove something didn't happen. We will never have evidence for that.

We can only collect evidence for things that occur. In this case, we have some anecdotes. And, not having evidence is even more anecdotal.

In Falsification and the Methodology of Scientific Research Programmes, Imre Lakatos argues that science does not progress through the simple falsification of individual hypotheses, as Karl Popper’s account might suggest, but through the competition and evolution of scientific research programmes. Each programme has a hard core of fundamental assumptions protected by a protective belt of auxiliary hypotheses, which scientists modify when observations conflict with predictions. A programme is progressive when modifications lead to novel, corroborated predictions, and degenerating when changes merely accommodate known anomalies without producing new successes. Therefore, a single counterexample does not automatically refute a theory: scientists should evaluate how a research programme develops over time and whether it advances knowledge relative to its rivals.

So, basically, we need to nuke more Datacenters 🤓 I hope you agree with me. Unless you have a conflict of interests..?

I love that you're implying that I'm a Russian asset because I refuted your propaganda, lmfao.

You guys are getting ridiculous in your paranoia.

You didn't refute anything. You just laughed. I quoted from epistemology to say that it may be true the claim of some bot traffic was affected. You are a troll regardless of subscribing to any agenda.. just by arguing in bad faith.

That's due to a lawsuit Twitter brought against them. Nothing to do with Ukranian attacks.

Overblown verification process (Anubis). JS required. Not recommendable.

I kinda figured Anubis was one of the better verification processes? Seems preferable to Cloudflare anyway?

Both Anubis and Cloudflare require js and cookies to operate. So from privacy first perspective they are on same level:

Sadly, you must enable JavaScript to get past this challenge. This is required because AI companies have changed the social contract around how website hosting works. A no-JS solution is a work-in-progress.

The Ukrainians are not just gritty and resilient, inventive and brave, they sure know how to make fun at the same time. What a country!
