That's how I was taught to write "and" in second grade.

Really? Weird but cool

[–] [email protected] 7 points 11 months ago

That happens all the time to me because I fail to raise the pen off the paper.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 11 months ago

My dad did that so I copied him starting back in elementary school

my printing looked like that in grade 6. granted, that was back when assignments were written on paper, not typed into a computer. i didn't put that much space between words, though.

agreed very wise for her age can't wait to share this with my petanque group

[–] [email protected] 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Where is this petanque group? And how do I pay my dues to join?

I mean... not really. I'm basically a hermit who loves the game. But this is the first time in like 30 years online that I have seen someone even mention petanque "in the wild".

Ah I never played seriously. I just remember the old folks where I grew up would, so I associate it with pensioners. I enjoyed playing a bit -- very poorly I might add.

This is my experience as well. Grandpa would say "I play religiously - That means every Sunday, and a bit drunk on wine"

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Emma thinks it will take her 100 years to be sick of everyone's shit? I give her 3 years at best.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 11 months ago

Emma seems pretty fed up right now

[–] [email protected] 3 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

I was sick of people's shit the day I was conceived.

Edit: maybe sooner...

[–] [email protected] 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)
