Where I'm at, it's called Lucky Strike but it's Bowlero/AMF all the same.

this is what they want, for myself and three friends to bowl in their establishment for two fucking hours.

at least there's klarna so who can even say if this is bad

Why per person? Does everyone get their own lane?

I think that's how they maximize their profit. It's no longer a per lane, however many you can fit type fee. It's per person, and that's on a single lane

Holy. We just had one of the towns two bowling allies get sold to Lucky Strike - horrible ugly ass generic logo. "Reservation fee"? Da fook?

grill-broke Why don't the kids go outside anymore?

Back in my day $32 can get you dinner, movies, and have spare for the arcade and everything was locally owned. Now it gets you a lunch break at best and most of that money goes put of the community. Just when I was thinking of getting back in the game too maddened

Fucking 12 dollar reservation fee, christ.

Also, I wonder why they aren't suing the cigarette company or vice versa.

Probably some dry-ass lanes. You think they're waxin' those things enough these days?

My local bowling alley which is still independently owned is $36CAD per lane per hour for everyone, so way better than this. Shoe rental is $2.

Last time I went bowling the floor wasn't even made of wood. It was a cheap laminate that bent under the weight of the ball.

Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.
