The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding last month to end the cycle arising from the latest bout of unprovoked American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic, which began on February 28.

Under the understanding, Iran agreed to allow fee-free maritime transit through the strait for a period of 60 days.

In compliance with the MoU, the Islamic Republic devised a special maritime route for vessels to cross the chokepoint, warning vessels against using illegal routes.

The US has, however, been trying to escort transit through the strait along an illegal passageway, prompting the Islamic Republic to shut the corridor until Washington ended its interference in regional maritime movement.

In line with its efforts to support unlawful maritime transit through the waterway, the United States has carried out numerous strikes against the Iranian territory. The strikes also violate the MoU’s first clause that clearly mandates cessation of aggression on all fronts.

I can now only see this ending with a nose cam photo of Trump pointing at the incoming Shahed milliseconds before his massively overdue death.

Trump is on Fox News right now talking about how he plans to continue attacking Iran into next week. Trump says that next week the US will target bridges and power plants. This is a threat he has made many times before.

US Central Command announced yesterday ago that it would block all naval ports of Iran, starting on July 14 at 4 PM Eastern Time. CENTCOM says this is a resumption of the pre-MoU conditions which occurred from April 13 to June 18.

It seems like the war has returned fully to the pre-MoU state. Any semblance of a ceasefire is gone. On Friday, Trump wrote a letter to the US congress stating that the Iran war started on July 7 so that he can claim to have another 60 day legal deadline. This would indicate that Trump wants to attack Iran for the next 60 days or more. This coincides with Axios reporting that the US plans to attack Iran for multiple weeks.

Around 6 hours ago, Trump posted on truth social about this blockade. He says that "Strait of Hormuz is open to ALL Ship traffic except for Iran" and "We will therefore have a FULL Blockade, but only on Ships coming to and from Iranian ports".

Yesterday, Trump had stated that the US would impose a 20% cargo shipping fee on the Strait of Hormuz. The Iran toll on the Strait of Hormuz would have been closer to 1%. In this truthsocial post, Trump says that he has dropped the idea of the 20% fee. This would indicate that no ships were willing to pay the 20%.

Oil is flowing like never before, thanks to the awesome Power of the United States Military. A special salute to Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Caine, and Commander of the United States Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper. Because of them, and all members of the Most Powerful Military anywhere in the World, BY FAR, the Strait of Hormuz is open to ALL Ship traffic except for Iran — and that is because of their lying, violent, malicious leadership, which is taking them down the path of TOTAL DESTRUCTION. We will therefore have a FULL Blockade, but only on Ships coming to and from Iranian ports, or carrying anything have to do with Iranian cargo. Based on highly productive conversations with Middle East leadership, I have decided to replace the 20% United States Reimbursement Fee with Trade and Investment Deals that the various Gulf States will be making into the United States. Those Investments will be MASSIVE but, at the same time, extraordinarily good for them, and their future. As everyone is aware, we have the largest Dollar Investment into the United States, of any Country in History, but these new Investments will make that Number even larger, and we will see Factories, Plants, and Equipment pour into the United States at Historic levels, which will create additional millions of High Paying AMERICAN Jobs! America is WINNING again, winning like never before. The days of Iran killing hundreds of thousands of people, including 52,000 protestors, are OVER and, most importantly, IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP
