Surely this is an essay about the structural privilege of being straight on heteronormatove society

It's now been changed to "There’s Nothing Wrong With Wanting Men" and it's written by an editor at Playboy.

“Editor at Playboy” feels so antiquated, it’s like saying you’re a telegram operator.

Thanks for posting a working link for it doggirl-thumbsup

It would be pretty on-brand if an lgbt person wrote on structural inequality and the editor read it and just slapped this on as the headline.

I mean sure. If you put any two good roommates who are horny and like each other together then they're going to have a good enough time. But why do you feel compelled to write about it? Why did you publish this? Why did you publish this right before pride month?

In all seriousness I wonder if the capitalist class is worried people are having less kids so they post this kind of propaganda thinking it might somehow influence the public.

We all know the real enemy of people wanting to have children is the capitalist economic system that makes it so difficult.

What a plot twist it would be if straightness, masculinity, and femininity as depicted culturally was social conditioning all along. Could you imagine if propensity to logic, emotional outburst, ambition, etc. weren't stored in the XY chromosomes?

[-] marl_karx@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 5 days ago

why would you need propaganda for that, only like 10% of people are gay, it's not a real problem only an ideological one

You have to admire the wise, open-minded PMC who are willing to consider all viewpoints. This is what democracy is all about. This is what authoritarian leftist regimes keep from you. /s

the-democrat: “Please like us, daddy GOP!”

the-republican: “No!”

Even for controlled opposition they’re so pathetic.

Oh you see, they added “akshually” after the statement. Damn, guess the jigg is up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just the title on its own is kind of funny tho. Imagine getting a guest essay in NYT and you write "I'm feeling great".

They aren't wrong... I haven't heard of "gay bigots" that hate straight people and actively attacking their civil rights
