That is also an original, first edition KC Deluxe Vol 1 Akira. Thrown into the mix are Lewis Hamilton's first and last championship winning F1 cars and some Dragonball for good measure.

Remember kids, the difference between a mess and a collection is a display case.

[-] TheVoiceOfRaison 4 points 1 month ago

I'm afraid to ask, which is this?!

[-] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago

Well, you have a display case, so that makes it a collection.

I'm pretty sure that the display cabinets are the thing that just got added to Vintage Story that about half the player base is excited for.

The rest of us are anxious to upgrade our smithys with the new waterwheel and aquaduct technologies.

If you can't afford that, a simple tray can work wonders. The point is to define a space and make it clear those items are deliberately placed there.

But that's a really nice corner étagère OP, love the lighting.

Actually does a nice blue, and a warm yellow(ish). Its motion sensitive too.

It's like looking back at my own misspent youth. 10/10 great stuff, and wonderfully maintained + displayed.

Thank you, that's very kind. They are all games i have owned at some point in time, most have sentimental value I have a few more to buy yet but I'm going to need another cabinet! Games like Sonic, Road Rash, Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast, Nights on the Saturn. Just getting the games i enjoyed the most.

Ah, British plugs, how I miss you...

Cool display!

[-] TheVoiceOfRaison 1 points 1 month ago

Ahh fanx! Need another one other side of the room as I've got consoles too.

[-] xspurnx@slrpnk.net 3 points 1 month ago

Vanquish - it doesn't get enough love.

[-] TheVoiceOfRaison 2 points 1 month ago

I recently played the enhanced PC version. It holds up really well. There are a couple of gameplay mechanics that would make it more playable, but its still great fun and I love the B movie aspect of its characters and voice acting.

[-] xspurnx@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 month ago

You get it. Just wanted to say: Good taste!

[-] Menschlicher_Fehler@feddit.org 3 points 1 month ago

Huh, never knew there was a Saturn port for Quake.

[-] TheVoiceOfRaison 4 points 1 month ago

It was the only version I had because i didn't have a PC. I eventually bought Q3 Arena on Dreamcast. That was excellent

[-] bridgeenjoyer@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

I love q3 on DC but man I suck at it. Need mouse/kb

[-] TheVoiceOfRaison 2 points 1 month ago

I actually thought it was really well suited to the pad actually. That analogue pad that came with nights evolved into the dreamcast pad which evolved into the xbox pad.

[-] bridgeenjoyer@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

I'm just bad at controller in general haha not a lot of FPs play time on one.

[-] rozodru@piefed.world 2 points 1 month ago

oh man Q3A on the dreamcast with the keyboard and mouse was peak.

[-] TheVoiceOfRaison 1 points 1 month ago

At the time i was never aware the DC had KB&M. Always thought the pad was decent though.

[-] LoafedBurrito@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 month ago

Nice choice! The white cabinet looks awesome. I normally just buy whatever display cabinets i can find used on nextdoor or craigslist, but i'd like to get a nice corner unit like this.

[-] Blue_Morpho@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Millennial China and Hummels. I'm all for it!

[-] Mobile@leminal.space 2 points 1 month ago

Looks great! Maybe I should invest in a display case.

[-] Lemmchen@feddit.org 2 points 1 month ago

Damn, dude! That's a solid collection.

[-] TheVoiceOfRaison 1 points 1 month ago

Thanks. It isnt complete. I'm limiting myself to a game a month

[-] ApollosArrow@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

What display cases are these?

[-] bridgeenjoyer@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

I just did the same !! Shelves really help make a space. Yours is much fancier though.

[-] TheVoiceOfRaison 2 points 1 month ago

Still share yours though, doesnt matter. If its special to you balls to what others think.
