You can give yourself a legal name and a nom de guerre, but not a nickname unless it's ironic or adopting a professional one that already exists. Every doctor and paramedic can call themselves Doc and that's acceptable.

God I wish I could tell the story of my fight name at my MMA gym and how it got turned on its head. I got dropped by a liver shot, people laughed, and the coach changed my name to be embarrassing.
The nickname itself is still cool to people who weren't there and the story of it getting ruined still makes people I find attractive laugh.

Turning the other cheek when someone else is oppressed is not Christian behavior; it is complicity in the oppressor’s crimes.
Actually, if you are being oppressed, turning the other cheek is usually a suboptimal option. It's cool that he's doing...the bare minimum?...of saying "privileged people shouldn't be complicit in the oppressor's crimes", but IMO this manifesto is centrist learned helplessness at its finest.

I don't think it's bad to be like "people who are in a privileged position compared to the oppressed are more morally weighted to stop oppression". It's not a contradiction to say the oppressed would know better what to do about oppression, but on the question of acting upon it it's easier to actually do shit about when you're not already crushed by whatever social force.
Guy posts a manifesto and the news commenters as usual are unable to actually refute any of it.
