Countries that do or did socialism dont primarily speak English. Maybe it isnt that communism doesnt do good art and that most people dont look beyond their own country if American let alone their own language when engaging with art. Engaging is also a strong word here

Not only is an enormous amount of 20th century global art made by and inspired by tenents of communism, not to mention an enormous amount of art and culture coming out of China this century, but by even right-wing Americans spent much of the last 100 year attributing the vast amount of America's cultural output to communism (Hollywood blacklists, red scare culture, the war against arts funding etc).
