Uhh actually one of them is just a dude playing a dude playing another dude
No, he's a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude.
Why do you hate Denzel?
Sure, but that doesn't mean he didn't deserve that Oscar
Who didn't? Which dude?
So there's no issue with cosplaying a dude playing a dude playing another dude then, right?
Downey is invited to the BBQ, but he's not trying to go full Dolezal. Never go full Dolezal.
Has any other actor destroyed their own reputation to the same level as will smith
Eeeeeeeh....yes? Kevin Spacey comes to mind. Diddy too. And thanks to home alone 2, Donald fucking Trump
Don't forget Mel Gibson.
Afaik, he used to be pretty much universally beloved until people found out what a heinous bigot he is from that leaked voice message to his ex wife..
I was going to say Gibson. he's slowly making a comeback though. Here's hoping he took a long look at himself in the mirror
Bill Cosby too
I would argue that not only has there been actors who've ruined their reputations to the same level, some of them have well exceeded it.
And that super shitty Little Rascals role!
Most of Hollywood is either directly engaging in pedophilia and/or sex trafficking; or are aware that their colleagues are involved in these crimes.
So, I'd say about every one of them.
Hell, I'd say the people that are outwardly displaying mental breakdowns are the most normal people in that industry.
Many have done much worse than slap a guy onstage.
So has Will Smith. Perhaps not pedo shit, but that, "I like pretty girls" song with AI generated crouds is doing him no favors!
Watching his wife control him and destroy him is basically what caused him to lose my respect haha. It's like the downfall of idubbbz
Wait…
Haha that took me way too long.
Halle Berry?
Cats doesnt count
I really wanted to love Sinners. It ticks a lot of my boxes (I love old "blues lore" kind of things like Robert Johnson and the crossroads, hellhounds etc.). I found it... boring, sadly. The music is really good though, at least. I don't get the hype. Cool concept - it deserved the fleshed out narrative that a show could offer imo.
This isn’t an insult, I promise.
How old are you?
There are so many books and movies that suddenly clicked for me when I was the right maturity/age/point in my life.
I’m not calling you immature. Please don’t take offense.
I am 43. I really just didn't enjoy the lack of depth in the plot.
Edit: fwiw I see and understand the parallels between the vampires and history in this scenario
It was a half assed from Dusk to Dawn with more stereotypes and less fun.
I enjoyed it, but it was definitely nothing special.
Please revisit this movie in a decade.
I would rather watch a real classic, not a bad copy.

Moving on up
