He started acting weird and dry, then less dry today, and was being very nice and almost like his typical self, then he ghosted me and blocked me on all social medias. What the hell???

Let's assume you did do something that triggered his actions. Whatever it was, his action was to ghost you not talk to you about it.

You've had an early glimpse into his conflict resolution capacity.

So if you had a relationship, some time down the line you'd have had a conflict, probably with the same result, with considerable more invested in the relationship.

Let's now assume you didn't do anything to trigger his behavior, something else did. Same actions, same observation, but he might 'come back' when whatever the problem is has resolved.

Finally let's assume he's just a jerk. Then there's no problem, it sucks to feel this way, but it's the better outcome.

Happens to a lot of people, it’s happened to me many times.

You can’t let their behavior define you, or determine your worth. It makes you feel sucky, but it’ll pass.

If everyone was magically forced into full disclosure about these things, it would likely end up being something silly and meaningless or a total misunderstanding. There’s seldom a legitimate reason to drop someone completely without a proper goodbye, especially if you were building a relationship.

Can you imagine if he did this after a few "I love yous"?

Dodged a bullet. People okay with ghosting are better found sooner than later.

I'm sorry that this happened to you. Some people just dont know how to disengage and feel this is easier for them and the other person. Ghosting can definitely make you feel hurt.

However, one person's actions do not define your value. There is someone out there looking for you and will be there for you in ways that you will never regret continuing to look for them.

I almost gave up trying and just when I thought it was too difficult to keep going, I found the person right for me.

I wish you all the best and just remember to be kind to yourself. Life is full of ups and downs and try to stay positive and enjoy the best parts of each one of those.

Some people can't deal with ending a relationship. It's not a YOU problem though. That's THEIR problem and even though it sucks, you're probably better off without somebody who treats people that way.

this happened to me ~6 years ago.

best advice is to forget it asap.

I still have nightmares (or dreams) where this person has cameos… will just be a person in the crowd. Sadly I wanted it to work really badly but it didn’t. This person thinks it’s too much work or that they aren’t interested and don’t know how to tell you. Sorry that you’re going through this.

I’m sorry, that sucks, and he sucks for treating you so disrespectfully.
