I’m very curious where these will take warfare.

I think these types of asymmetric capabilities are hugely important while we ramp up our other industries and reconsider defence contracts.

Ukraine is strong proof of how valuable drones can be in the field, countering highly expensive gear very well. Ukraines attacks within Russia with drones are a good example of just how hard it is to defend against this, and similarly Israel’s use in Iran to incapacitate air defenses.

Yeah I can’t check at the moment, but it has been an issue for me for a while.

I was very confused why it would fetch the weather for Paris randomly with some models, and it was even more confusing because I was learning MCP by writing a weather tool (so the LLMs were getting conflicting instructions).

I wonder if they updated the tool prompt in LM Studio

In case you don’t know, if you use tools LMS injects a bunch of shitty prompt that you can’t change, and it has specific examples like fetching the weather in Paris.

I have not checked that prompt since they added a deno based js sandbox, but I could imagine them adding a 1 shot example of a Fibonacci generator.

74 minutes > 1 hour

Also that’s a very tragic and kind thing to do.

This was all public knowledge before the election.

But I guess you didn’t hear about that on TikTok and YouTube shorts.

I think it’s rude to assume the Cardassian engineers aren’t good enough for 100% uptime across a full station.

Billions of people vaccinated with MRNA technology, nobody grew extra arms or turned into The Thing, and by all (credible) accounts very little harm done, especially compared to having COVID.

We finally have evidence of a vaccine for HIV/AIDS. One of the most notoriously difficult diseases to treat that we have.

But “it could harm some people” is being weaponized by the willfully ignorant as a cudgel. If we pushed so no harm to its absolute we wouldn’t be able to do any medicine, it’s why for thousands of years we’ve had experts use their judgement to determine what would be worse for the patient.

Realistically there were a few people whose heart conditions were affected, we did studies and it was a low amount. But that’s why we do studies, and that’s why doctors prescribe these things based on risk factors.
