Don't worry, I'm only doing an apolitical boycott.

[-] [email protected] 45 points 18 hours ago

What's a non-politically motivated boycott?

[-] [email protected] 25 points 17 hours ago

Boycotting Türkiye because you don't want to learn to type ü

[-] [email protected] 2 points 6 hours ago

[-] [email protected] 9 points 17 hours ago

[-] [email protected] 14 points 17 hours ago

I love how they're talking out of one side of their mouth with "Charlie Kirk was just trying to protect free speech uwu" and out of the other side of their mouth with "also if you criticize Israel even in the slightest we will come down on you like the hammer of Thor" like how fucking dumb are burgerlanders for putting up with this shit

[-] [email protected] 12 points 15 hours ago

You say this as if we have a choice lol

[-] [email protected] 60 points 19 hours ago

Oh don't worry; I do it for moral reasons.

Religious ones?

[-] [email protected] 14 points 16 hours ago

Your honor, It was not politically motivated when I was boycotting Israel, I just don't like Sabra hummus. It was entirely coincidental that did not purchase any Israeli products over a long period of time.

[-] [email protected] 23 points 18 hours ago

How does this hold up constitutionally?

[-] [email protected] 2 points 5 hours ago

They are past giving a shit or even pretending to give a shit.

The Supreme Kangaroo Court will pretzel logic any damn thing Droopy Don wants.

[-] [email protected] 19 points 17 hours ago

It will be ever so slightly funny to see SCOTUS say that buying EPYC instead of Xeon for a data centre is antisemitic hate speech

[-] [email protected] 7 points 16 hours ago

it's the same as the state anti-bds laws so it won't be challenged

and it's hard to imagine it even being applied, imagine a firm that does contracts for the fucking Pentagon which supports BDS? that can't be a real company.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 15 hours ago

Could this impact IAM, UAW or CWA's pension trust if they divested while representing weapons contractors?

[-] [email protected] 3 points 15 hours ago

good question. the wording of the free bit of the article just sounded like contracts but if they want to try to make private pension funds invest in israel this might be picking a fight

[-] [email protected] 56 points 22 hours ago

"no sir, I'm upholding BDS because I think Sabra hummus is ass"

[-] [email protected] 11 points 17 hours ago

Do you condom hummus

[-] [email protected] 47 points 22 hours ago

“You’re under arrest for not consuming product enough!”

Bro, I’m poor. What do you want? Want product to be consumed? Take it up with porky.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 1 hour ago

pick up that can! ... of sabra... and eat it

I don't think being opposed as genocide is political as much as human.

When the freeze peach government has a "not using freeze peach" condition to do business with you.

[-] [email protected] 44 points 22 hours ago

Just say it's your religion that forces you to boycott Israel then

[-] [email protected] 17 points 19 hours ago

Obviously bad but god I'm sick of bullshit headlines. Makes it sound like we're one Senate vote away from banning it entirely, get scared enough to click in, turns out it's actually just that federal contractors can't protest Israel now

[-] [email protected] 21 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

1/3 of the USA economy depends on the contracts; including the majority of USA colleges and universities. Over half the population indirectly provides services to these contractors.

It is not impossible to make it later a condition that defense contractors cannot do business with boycotting companies. That would effectively end the movement in the USA

[-] [email protected] 5 points 16 hours ago

If only Israel made anything useful I could boycott them. :(
