Just a warning, 2K's new EULA is EXTREMELY invasive.

The game I play the most lately is "Collect the free games".
I know I shouldn't encourage your addiction, but there's !freegames@feddit.uk if you want to pump those numbers up
Epic. Ew
Eh, I play everything through Heroic. I haven't paid a dime to EGS, but I've claimed a fair number of games, so they just live alongside my GOG purchases.
I and many others agree. But I got like 75 games for free off there. Only played like 3 of them lol but I think of it as my backup if anything happens with steam.
It’s DRM free, you can download it with heroic, copy the files and then delete your epic account
Thanks! I have Civ 5 on Steam, but I've never played 6.
I still play 5. Six wasn't my cup of tea and 7 is still too new/expensive and - in the views of some people - even worse.
If you like V you might not like VI. Probably more likely to enjoy the Vox Populi mod if you want something fresh.
I'll give 6 a shot. The price is right.
Worth it just to get your socks blown off by the opening theme, if nothing else.
It's not the best Civ has ever been, but RomanHoliday's AI rework seemed to mostly resolve the biggest problem I had with it, which was the AI falling apart by the Renaissance.
That it is. Might as well, right?
I know that many ppl disliked 6, but honestly? I liked it more than 5, and I've been playing Civ since the first one, back in the 90's. 5 for me was the biggest shock, because it introduced the hex map, and military units introduced that movement control rules, and you could no longer do stacks of doom!
With 6, I was already a bit more conformed with all the limitations, and while initially as most people, I disliked the 3D art, in the end, I actually learned to love it, and I feel that leaders were very lifelike, when it came to animations and facial expressions! For me that tops seeing leaders with crappy animations, which was what you had in 5 and apparently, now too with 7? I don't own that one yet, but from what I saw, they look terrible.
Civ 6 is worth playing... Watch out though. You'll blink and suddenly have 1000 hours of play time.
Does Epic still scan yoir Steam account and steal all of your data?
Only if you let it.
How do you not let it?
Better than VII!
Did 7 get any better with the updates? I bought it on release but it couldn't hold my attention for more than an hour, and I haven't been back.
It’s still infected with Denuvo malware, so even if the gameplay weren’t a disaster the answer would still be “no.”
Not as far as I know. I haven't played the latest update but I did a full playthrough on the last one and I finished it but it was such a slog. It's like the opposite of the other Civ games, where you sit down for 5 minutes and lose an hour, with 7 you sit down and go "right, I'll play for an hour" and then you check the time and it's only been 10 minutes lol.
I was really excited about this until I remembered that I actually already own Civ VI...
I just forgot. I guess I haven't played in a while.
I got the base game for free a few years ago.
I played and enjoyed it so much I bought the Platinum edition...on Steam, because it was cheaper there. (And other reasons, but this was the biggest one)
One of the few games I actually went out and bought thanks to Epic. I feel slightly bad for not buying from them, lol
Play literally any other strategy game.
Don't keep supporting Firaxis' shitty development, even if it's through fake player numbers.
That is a matter of opinion ofc... When it comes to mod development, they are by far, the best company I have ever seen. I even had the chance to talk with some of the game developers, when I was modding 2 of their games, and hey were very very willing to engage with the community. One of the games I modded was XCOM2, and they practically gave you EVERYTHING. You could almost compile the whole game on your own, such was the extent of the tools they provided (which was built over UDK 3). And when compared to other companies like Bethesda, they are light-years ahead.
What is in your opinion, specifically that makes them a company with "shitty development"? Care to elaborate? For someone with so much certainty about the topic, surely you most know how the games are developed and how the development tools work. Eager to engage in this discussion, in great detail!
