Can't the US just give them more?

The time it takes to manufacture, package them up on a freighter, sail them around the world, unload them at the port, load them onto transport trucks, drive those trucks into an active warzone, park the trucks, unload the trucks, preventative maintenance checks and services of the unloaded ordinance, storing the ordinance, cycling the ordinance into the missile/rocket batteries.

One, that takes months.

Two, that's a whole lot of points where sabotage can happen.

Three, lots of places where long range artillery can be targeted.

Four, the faster anybody tries to make the process the more likely there will be faulty equipment shipped to Israel or that the equipment will be damaged on arrival in ways that reduce the chance of being successfully used.

production of exoatmospheric ballistic interceptors is in the low dozens per year

and they've also spent a chunk of their patriot interceptors in Ukraine

Not enough. Their arsenals are severely depleted from the Ukraine proxy war and their production capabilities limited.
