Image is Israeli interceptors trying and failing to intercept missiles over their cities.

Israel just carried out a widespread bombing of Iran, which has killed a number of senior officials inside Iran (though it seems the leadership is more-or-less intact) as well as a number of civilians. Important facilities have been targeted, but the amount of damage is unknown so far (note that many important Iranian facilities are deep underground, making them both hard to damage but also hard to determine if they are damaged from just satellite imagery, so reports of damage will be he-said-she-said).

It appears the attack took Iran by surprise, given that a residential block was targeted that contained some senior officials - if one saw an attack coming, one would imagine they'd be in bunkers. Nonetheless, like the rest of the Resistance Axis, I suspect that Iran has adapted their military structures to be resistant to decapitation strikes by ensuring that replacement figures are ready to take the place of killed officials.

Iran has delivered a massive missile barrage in response to Israeli aggression, even though Israel is continuing to bomb Iran. Iran is now aware of the location of many important Israeli sites, including secret nuclear sites, due to their recent intelligence haul, giving them a distinct edge.

Israel-Palestine Conflict

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Sources:

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

Second wave had at least 50 missiles, many impacts outside civilian areas and subject to military censorship.

[-] [email protected] 51 points 13 hours ago

Looks like 5 hits on Tel Aviv, 2 on the refinery in Haifa. Probably the largest ballistic missile volley so far.

[-] [email protected] 56 points 13 hours ago

Something of note I’ve noticed in the past two waves of Iranian strikes: there appears to be far, far fewer anti-missile munitions airborne here than we were seeing in the first few waves of strikes. Either Israel is trying to conserve ammunition or Iran has been successful in neutralizing anti-missile defenses

Elaborating on Awoo's point, it seems like they launch 2-3 interceptors per incoming missile. We can assume that they've used at least 50-200 interceptors prior to this in response to Ansarallah targetting critical infrastructure, the Hezbollah rocket attacks, and the previous true promise operations. Already we have seen Iran fire at least 200 missiles. Since the goal up until this point has been 99% interception, that's at least another 400-600 used up. Even if they received ALL US AD interceptor production for decades, that's only about 1,000 missiles. Someone has to be wearing thin.

[-] [email protected] 37 points 12 hours ago

The US only has the capacity to manufacture 50 of these interceptor missiles per year.

When stocks are gone, they're gone.

I'm kind of worried that Israel will use nuclear weapons against Iran when unable to really deal with this onslaught. Despite people feeling a sense of vindication seeing Israel suffer a fraction of the terror they inflicted upon Gaza and the Palestinian people, this is plunging Israel into a sense of desperation and despair, especially since Israel cut off the exits for its population to flee via its airport.

While I do imagine that Israelis with means will be leaving through Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, or Cyprus, the rest of the population won't pressure the government to surrender or stop the war, but to escalate. Israel only knows escalation and there is a risk of nuclear escalation.

[-] [email protected] 28 points 12 hours ago

Israel has stated that they started this war because the possibility of Iranian nukes was an existential threat to Israel, and by doing this they have greatly increased the possibility Iran will develop nukes. There is a non-zero chance they will strike Iran with nuclear weapons, and why wouldn't they when the "rules based international order" will condone everything they do?

Israel’s end is already coming to fruition. Its a matter of how many have to die until it’s over.

Now the real pain begins for the Entity. A night spent in shelters, power outages across the country, airport closed for the foreseeable future. How much can the settlers really suffer before cracking? This is only the start.

Anti-missile defense platforms reportedly hit. It really does feel like Israel bit off more than it could chew here. Power off across most of Haifa
