Daily reminder that winblows is an inefficient un-gamer pos OS
๐ฌ YIKES, Microsoft was bribing them to focus on windows too, that is actually embarrassing.
microshaft windowns
Micro-flaccid shit holes
Have people tried with other PC handhelds? I'd like to see the comparisons
I'd like to know the power settings they have for Windows on it because normally by default, it uses the "balanced" preset which does not allow the CPU to be utilized 100%. Though they could have entirely different defaults for this if the installation is tweaked specifically for the device. Especially seeing the battery usage stats with the FPS stats. Gets about 10 fewer FPS, but drains the battery almost twice as fast or more.
If they increase the CPU the battery is going to last even less time and if they fix the Battery the FPS will drop, the settings don't really matter, this is indicative of too much bloat, too much legacy software, too much neglect. ~~At this point there is a valid argument for using proton on windows through WSL.~~ it would still be running on windows just add another abstraction layer
Wow! Is that a gaming specific distro?
It's Arch with a few tweaks. For something very similar, try CachyOS.
Should be a Slowpoke in the image instead of Tux, they're already on the Switch 2! /s
Had this exact thought when my cousin (umprompted by me) said he wanted to try a linux-only system on his new PC, my old desktop which I'm selling him. 5800X3D/7900XTX so hardly outdated!
This is the only funny linux meme ever posted here
I recently did, and it's the best thing ever! I should have done this ages ago. I went with Fedora plasma on my old laptop! โค๏ธ I can see how basically any distro is going to be fantastic coming from either of the other choices tho
It's a SickOSad World!
