All the money my mom had left from her divorce savings. Also several disabilities and my mom's personality

From my dad, great physical health, some kind of neurodivergence, and a passion for systems.

From my mom, great empathy and self awareness, a skepticism of technology for technology’s sake, and appreciation for creative hobbies.

Generational Trauma and an affinity for alcoholism.

But on the upside we tend to have a strong immune system. Our body's are fine our minds not so much :D

ye way more likely to get adhd and autism if you parents have it. do you blame your parents for it?

I thought that until I became too sedentary and got past 25. Watch out.

Nah, as much as I would welcome such a change I don't think that is all too likely. Pretty much everyone in my family is similarly skinny, we all just have a thin build plus crazy fast metabolisms. I've been to a dietician and have been told that even without exercise I need to be consuming at least 4500 kcal per day before I can start gaining weight, and I simply cannot get myself to eat enough food to reach that calorie intake without feeling like shit all day long.

Peanut butter, granola, dried fruit, honey, sandwiches. Hell throw some chocolate syrup on them. One of those comes in at well over 900 kCal. When I was younger I could eat two of them and chop wood all day. Now in my 40s I only need one of those things to surf, or chop wood all day. I only need 3000 kCal daily though.

It was the 25 that did you in, metabolic changes. Same happened to me at 27, went from 125lbs@5'11" to 180lbs, now that I don't do physical stuff anymore I'm down to 150ish

I've been told this my whole life (I'm almost 30) and have a very sedentary lifestyle. Still not able to put on the pounds :(

Mental illnesses, mostly, but also massive hair.

I got the former, but alas not the latter

Talking too loud. It runs in the family.

A no-name handmixer that will most likely outlast my parents (possibly myself, too). I break it out now and then for pancakes (thin and unleavened, topped exclusively with sugar and cinnamon).

My nose is unbreakable. Cuz there's no bone in there

[-] [email protected] 1 points 3 hours ago

Don't noses have cartilage?

[-] [email protected] 1 points 3 hours ago

Cartilage and bone, yes. The top bit can break. Mine bends

My dad's sociopathy and my mother's ability to bury my head in the sand

I've inherited fair skin that burns in gentle sunlight and years of woe.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

Cancer. I inherited cancer.

And there are still people who think astrology is harmless

Korra-length reddish auburn hair, light but slightly tan skin, black-ish brown eyes, weak freckles, a short stature, medium breasts, honeymoon rhinitis, a Kiwi accent (if that's "inherited"), and a susceptibility to multiple sclerosis.
