my 2 cents: most people are using it as a replacement for the word "pervert". it's why everyone calls those gamers who whine about how the woke left is forcing unattractive women into their video games gooners, i think in the past people would have just called them perverts

Gooning I think isn't real. However the goon mindset is real. All the guys who refuse to play a game without anime tiddies are that. Just soaking their brains in low level dopamine constantly through waifu media. This is better than other drugs but this is still just self medication to treat the alienation one suffers under capitlaism

Think of the difference between wanking and gooning like the difference between someone who rides a bike casually and someone who rides a bike as a hobby.
