From what I gathered, "gooning" used to be a more niche sexual fetish in more gay spaces, where gay men would use poppers/other stimulants while self-pleasuring, thats where the weird grimace aspect comes from. Its now evolved into meaning self-pleasuring for a long time? Or just like being horned up in general? And having a porn addiction?
