My problem with GTA VI that prevents me from getting excited for it is that the PC version is going to come out in like 2029 and my computer will assuredly not be able to run it

Right up until 2069, bit before GTA VII is announced a modder will realize that the loading screens can be halved with a simple fix.
And then Take Two will sue the modder into oblivion.

The only redeeming aspect would be if they added a 
style bounty system to off CEOs, but I don't know if Rockstar would go there now compared to what they were down with in the early days.

There were a few, Lester tells you to kill a bunch of CEOs because he hates them for various reasons and recommends that you might as well abuse the stock market while doing it.
It's honestly the coolest thing the game does.
Yeah I remember that one but I felt it was more just to satisfy the ego of the main tech hacker of the group with the CEO as a parody of a Mark Zuckerberg/Steve Jobs style person

i also vaguely remember there are several missions after, which imply you should do trading in that dumb fucking phone thingy when you rob/explode some places
The game will have one (1) decently fun mission involving mechanics that actually have to do with crime, which will either already have been done better by another game or will be shortly after it releases, buried under a mountain of half-assed satire of American pop culture, a wAcKy CrAzY protagonist that no sane person would ever be able to empathize with, and some shitty tacked on tennis mini games.

That comment was specific to 5. Niko "Walking Anti-war Film" Bellic is from back when they bothered having writers on staff.
I have to assume 5 was some kind of reaction to people who complained 4 was "too serious" or something. But the only game they've put out since GTA5 has been RDR2, which was markedly less wacky than RDR1, which was already less wacky than GTA4 so it's hard to pin down where 6 will land
The best part of any GTA has always been fucking around, and it's mostly the same in every one

I assumed there must be a new trailer or something from this post so went and watched it... and it just feels like, sorta nothing. Ambitious crime power fantasy - check. Sizzle reel of action moments - check. But nothing else.
I went back and looked at the second trailers (traditionally the more story focused trailers) for the other 3D GTA games and all of them have more plot hook, more characterisation, more vibes. This one doesn't feel like it has any humour or satire (despite GTA's usually being pretty ropey). I have no idea who the protagonists are as people, in terms of personalities or conflicts or whatever. Hell, the one sentence video description has more plot detail than the trailer.
I'd go and eat food and do shots with the Matty Matherson character, but I don't think anything else caught my attention at all.
yeah gta v character has interesting hook (like Trevor being pretty much the stereotype of how GTA players actually the game) meanwhile gta 6 protagonist so far feels like blank slates based on the trailers.
I will wait for the FitGirl Repack before I touch this game. I will watch the gameplay vids of silent youtubers out of curiosity though

I still find a bit funny how GTA IV is now sort of a late 2000's time capsule
I'm vaguely interested since the weirdo head writers have left the company so maybe the satire will be a bit better (press x to doubt) and I sort adore their horrible gameplay, so I'm probably going to ask for it for Christmas or birthday and see if I can goof off for a few dozen hours.
If I ever get a PS5, I'll just buy the physical release like 4 years after it comes out.

It makes me think about Florida too much, and I've never been big into crime sims. The combat was always way too clunky for me, too.

Haven’t paid attention to it at all, but I’ll probably play it when it comes out. GTA V was a lot of fun, I played it when it came out and was just replaying it a few months ago and it holds up really well.
I have never played a news-making game less than a year after it came out, and have no desire to.
I play games but you're not gonna see me getting hyped for what's about to come out. After all, there are already so many of them out there!
Last big-hype game I wanted to play was Cities Skylines 2. It was exceedingly obvious that they rushed the development just based on how little time passed between the announcement and launch. I told myself I'd wait a year before buying/playing it so they could fix all the inevitable bugs and other bullshit.
It's been a year and a half and from what I gather it's still not fixed and probably never will be. People are complaining about exactly the same shit that they were at launch.
I think it could be neat, I don't play games like the typical g*mer I'm guessing though. I hardly ever beat story missions, I like to just cruise and look at the sunset n such and have shoot outs occasionally, and play poker if they have anything like that. I rode the road bicycle a lot on GTA V hah. If it just has improved physics and a nicely designed world I could enjoy it. But I would never spend more than 20 on it if that.
Yeah my favorite part of GTA games is just walking around and observing the city on foot.
It would have been really nice if the stars aligned again like they did for V. Unemployed with a buddy to smoke and play with. I carried my PS4 between our houses like we were kids. Same river twice, I guess.
I haven't cared about a GTA game since 3.

I really enjoyed GTA5, despite not really enjoying shooter games or driving, but the story was really good, interesting characters.
Just watched the trailer for 6 and it seemed ... very flat? I didn't get any hints to what the characters were like they seemed really boring. Maybe they were just trying to show off the graphics and whatnot but I dunno.
But in any event it's not going to be released for PC for a looooong time so I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it.
I just don't get the appeal of roleplaying as the real world criminals that ruin IRL lives. I get it when like "oh I'm doing an Undertale full geno run!", but honestly what is the fun of selling crack in a videogame?

I used to be a fan of GTA 1 and 2 but starting from 3 and onwards the gameplay dropped off hard
Im curious about it and I do plan to play it BUT I have no problem to wait for at least for 6 months to a year depending on the state the PC version releases in . This is a game where I legit wouldnt have a problem to wait 18 months or something if it turns out to be a rough day 1 release for PC.
There are games that I had to play day 1 like Baldurs Gate 3....GTA 6 isnt one of them.
