Spring is very unpredictable in many places. Could be freezing, could be hot. Could have terrible damaging storms. Maybe all three in the same day. I'd go with October 2nd.
Yeah we've had snow in the end of April, spring just does their own thing. Today it's 10 C outside, you most definitely need a jacket.

Depends on where You live. In Denmark, I'm working around in a winter jacket. In Poland I would rock a T-shirt today.
