It's home. Every time I've left I've wanted to come back. It's like when you're a kid and you sleep over at a friend's house and maybe their cookings better, and their family is nicer and they got cooler shit than your family's got. But sooner or later, you just want to go home.

The land? Yes we have everything, it's huge and beautiful. The people? Well, we have all of those too, it's so diverse where I am, no matter what axis you spin us on, age, race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, all sorts live here together. I kinda like how we accept everything (historically speaking at least) and make it ours.

The politics? Horrifying. Our backwards conservative government, the increasing inequality, the shift hard right, all of that I hate. I do think it's the "one step back" part of two steps forward one step back.
