This post was initially removed for posting unsubstantiated claims. But a better approach would be for people to verify these claims themselves and report back. There have been signs that some of this might be happening, but it's not really clear yet.

All of this is bad but what particularly stands out is that criticism of a rival social media parent company is removed. That's uh pretty telling they're either being bought by them or bending the knee in a kind of agreement to no competition, no defending yourself, no shitting on American companies, allowed type arrangement which really is more like full prostration head to the ground than kneeling come to think of it. Hopefully it implodes.

Free Luigi

I left a free Luigi comment on a Luigi video. We'll see if it gets removed.

This video was posted 22m ago, is tagged #freeluigi

Update

i have appealed this and am waiting to see the result. Im going to go back to the video and leave a comment asking if it was reported by the owner.

Yeah this I believe. This was happening on reddit too. This narrative that tiktok is different now is pure lib shit. They are panicking.

Tinfoil hat: unsubstantiated theory I came across was that the outage was due to a server migration to Meta owned servers

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 weeks ago

That makes enough sense for me

[–] [email protected] 34 points 2 weeks ago

I just want to point out a lot of this is unsubstantiated. People thought Facebook created an account after the outage. That account was from 2022. People thought Facebook put out a friends importer after the tiktok outage, that also has been around for a while.

Most of these are people seeing what they want to see. Or seeing things that were always true that they never bothered to look at before.

Liberals are facing the consequences of their unprincipled action and are only now awaking out of their political coma. They are looking to see all the signs that their brunch is truly over. Do not fall pray to their hysteria.

It's too late because the people are already flocking over to rednote and getting radicalized.

A distressing amount of people instantly went back the moment they could, and will probably stay.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

those ones were just doing it for the meme

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

same could be said for those who downloaded xiaohongshu

i really doubt the average american would willingly stay on a platform where like 99% of the userbase does not communicate in english

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

Not too surprising. TikTok is the bigger app and most were going to return as soon as it came back. Being able to make money on it is a big incentive.

Lives were down because the services were still down.... Lives work fine.

This is lib shit. If you have tiktok and haven't verified these for yourself, you are not being objective.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 2 weeks ago

[–] [email protected] 19 points 2 weeks ago

typo of WLW (women loving women) - copy-pasting from the OP reveals it's a lowercase l and not an I

(A Cincinnati radio station does incidentally also appear as the top Google result, though the following several results reference the queer terminology.)

weird capitalization, but it's WLW for women loving women (lesbian, bi, etc.)

Interesting that you're also the user saying TikTok has no fed influence despite having "ex-cia" content managers.

I've got my eye on you

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Yeah, I was wrong about that.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

I wonder how much of this was dictated to Chew in a perfect phone call

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

I've been moderated for calling someone racist a very long time ago already.

So thaaaaaaaat's why Trump agreed to not enforce the ban.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 weeks ago

This is not substantiated. Verify them yourself.
