Summary

Following Donald Trump’s election victory, women are experiencing a surge in misogynistic harassment online, with phrases like “your body, my choice” trending as men taunt women about reproductive rights.

The phrase, co-opted from feminist slogans, reflects heightened hostility, with reports of threats on platforms like TikTok and X/Twitter.

This backlash arises as Trump’s administration, alongside VP-elect JD Vance, raises concerns about potential federal restrictions on abortion.

Even without a federal ban, existing state laws have already limited access to reproductive care, contraception, and increased maternal health risks.

Hat pins about to come back into fashion.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 minutes ago

I fear that online misogyny was going to go up in general. Hell, would probably be worse with a Harris victory given how well those fucks would handle a woman president.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 hour ago

I am so surprised. Who could have possibly foreseen that the party of grab em by the pussy, whether women like it or not, and project 2025 would be hostile and antagonistic towards women.

Absolutely shocked and flabbergasted.

Fits in nicely with the recent article about conservative men having trouble dating. Maybe don't antagonize women?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 54 minutes ago

Sounds like somebody hasn't heard of flirting technique "neggingmaxxing". /s

I completely just made that up

Getting an abortion up to 13 weeks is totally possible using the following method.

Said a different way:

"In Trump's America, rapists get to choose their baby's mama"

If that's horrific to you too, sorry. See you at the support meeting later where we will be taking money to help people and companies relo to CO or NY where rights are temporarily enshrined regionally where even reinstating "Chevron" should preserve the for a while.

If people who've terminated a pregnancy in NYC go to FL, or even get on a long domestic flight, are they at risk of arrest when they enter or pass through the confederate states?

These people are so filled with fucking hate.

Like, seriously, no small wonder nobody actually wants to fuck you.

Yet conservative women always are so confused why their partners are such shitheads who don't treat them respectfully.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 hour ago

I play counter strike with my partner. She usually gets plenty of hate, but the days after the election have been way worse.

[–] [email protected] 33 points 3 hours ago

why do people spend so much time being awful

I didn't think there was a most pathetic way to out yourself as a rapist

[–] [email protected] 28 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

America elected an Incel-in-Chief, so that's not really surprising.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

The alternative was apparently not inspiring enough to vote for (/s). You know, someone who isn't that.

(I voted gladly for Harris)

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Yes, because Americans are idiots who think that they have to vote for someone they like rather than STOP A FASCIST DICTATOR.

Jesus Christ.

Enjoy never having your vote count again.

People at my spouse’s workplace were high-fiving each other on Wednesday. This country is just a goddamn middle school.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 hour ago

I've wanted to cry since Wednesday morning but it's just not coming out. I'm just too numb. If I was around people like that though, I might have been able to find somewhere to go cry.

It's a darth vader cosplay fetish. They wanna be a cool bad guy.

Except just the shitty parts, minus the cool costume, powers, or voice. Then they try to convince themselves it's working with seven laughing-too-hard emojis.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 hours ago

Dumb fucks being themselves: I just don't know why women don't like me.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 hours ago

Sore winners? What a surprise.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 hours ago

A campaign run by trolls wasn't just gonna stop trolling once they win. Of course they were gonna double down with being awful people.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 hours ago

The fact these losers (misogynists) don’t even have shame in what they’re saying and are not afraid of the repercussions, this could have on their personal/work lives, by saying all this fucked up shit, just makes it even awful tbh. There is really no justice.

Im sure some of this is real. But i wonder how much of this is actually foreign state actors. We have a bunch of countries working overtime trying to destabilize the U.S. right now.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 2 hours ago

Makes no difference to the women being targeted, and is still the direct result of a Trump win. Give the real magas 30 more seconds to realize they've just witnessed the birth of Let's Go Brandon 2.0 and they'll dwarf the number of state actors anyhow.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

I think we should absolutely consider foreign actors as the likely seed for some of these flashy, rage-bait stories. Russia's primary goal since 2015 has been to keep us from trusting one another, and I expect them to ramp up messaging to leftist groups over the next few months. We're uncertain, isolated, and afraid, and that makes us likely targets for cultural wedge disinformation.

Points from Foundations for Geopolitics (basically the current russian playbook)

In the Americas, United States, and Canada:

Russia should use its special services within the borders of the United States and Canada to fuel instability and separatism against neoliberal globalist Western hegemony, such as, for instance, provoke "Afro-American racists" to create severe backlash against the rotten political state of affairs in the current present-day system of the United States and Canada. Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social, and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics".[9]
The Eurasian Project could be expanded to Central and South America.[9]
[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 hours ago

At least 90% is my guess. MANY foreign countries are trying very hard to ensure we tear ourselves apart from the inside

[–] [email protected] -5 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

This and the "lefties" increasingly calling for another insurrection. Definitely a lot of foreign state actor influencing the emotion right now.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 hour ago

I haven't heard any left leaning people in real life calling for violence.

[–] [email protected] -2 points 1 hour ago

I'm so happy I switched to an instance that blocks grad, ml and hex, I can't imagine the shitshow it should be for those that still want to tolerate at least hex.
