Yeah because that's a great loophole for foreign governments to install a puppet president in our country. At least currently it is a little harder.

Nothing wrong with changing the constitution, as long as people do what's required.
You're not getting that through 35 states. There's the Congressional problem, too. He seems to understand the process and thought it would be a waste of time.
