So they open with an anecdote about how poorly trained/prepared US soldiers are that they die during training exercises, and then:

"Troops worked on new maneuvers patched together from watching Ukraine fight Russia."

For a masterclass on surrendering? They have accepted they would stand no chance so want to practice their white flag deployments? And they think they would stand the slightest chance against China??? Not even accounting for the differences in equipment, just imagine how much more motivated the PLA would be when fighting to protect their homeland.

About Trump and Harris:

Their approaches to turmoil in the Middle East are also expected to be at least rhetorically different.

But no matter who wins in November, the United States will continue to prepare for war with China.

Not even pretending anymore lol

And one β€” a 19-year-old private β€” began to fall quickly when his chute did not open. Across the field, shouts of β€œpull your reserve” could be heard before the young private hit the ground and medics ran to treat him.

Dude the US is gonna lose so hard lol

Look I am just hoping China makes it over here and I can surrender to the PLA

[–] [email protected] 11 points 4 days ago (1 children)

That's part of why I have a hammer and sickle tattoo. If or when China ever liberates the U.S., they'll see my tattoo and know I'm on their side.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 days ago

I would fucking swim to China naked in shark-infested waters if I have to.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Ill take the help but only if you never live up to your name.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago

I think I'll bring a second boat for my family and friends, we can hitch our sardine container capsules together.

If US military suppliers are going to cheat the government with cut-rate products, it is given at this point

Critical support to scummy military contractors

[–] [email protected] 20 points 5 days ago

Howwwwwwww. Our economy would crash before boots ever hit the ground. The world might end before boots hit the ground. It would definitely end when we lose and we can't not lose.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

China will turn them into mincemeat

[–] [email protected] 31 points 5 days ago (1 children)

The U.S. Army knows how hard it would be to invade Taiwan.

Invade!?!? But I thought we were defending democracy?!

[–] [email protected] 24 points 5 days ago (1 children)

funny how the truth slips out now and then

[–] [email protected] 11 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Thank god you have the archived version just in case they change it!

[–] [email protected] 12 points 5 days ago (1 children)

it's crazy how archives have becomes essential at this point

[–] [email protected] 9 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I thought it was for the pay walls, here it is that they will cover the truth they let slip up.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 5 days ago

Incidentally, paywalls also act as a barrier for the hoi polloi. Only the affluent get to see the full news, and these interesting tid bits tend to be buried deep behind the paywalls. Most people tend to only see the headlines that often completely misrepresent things.

Troops worked on new maneuvers patched together from watching Ukraine fight Russia.

Lmfao. So they're fighting to every last Ukrainian as a training exercise, so that they can observe how to lose a war as preparation for losing to China.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Jup, not like they lost any valuable soldiers until now. Just disposable ukrainians.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 5 days ago (1 children)

You know thats how the west sees Ukraine, because that's the main propaganda they run about Russia with the "disposable hordes sent to die on the Frontline".

Every accusation is a confession.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Pretty sure they consider USians equally disposable. And easier to leverage their deaths for manufacturing consent.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Well, re:Iraq/Afghanistan, news of soldiers coming back in caskets very much contributed to Bush's unpopularity. At the end of the day, chanting "we're fighting for freedom! and democracy!" isn't enough to keep 'muricans in hawkish zeal. It popped the popular perception that pointy end of the military industrial complex was only for ~~brown people~~ non-americans. Which is why proxy wars are the go-to now, much more secure in support from the metropole.

edit: and less news of Americans dropping missiles on weddings

[–] [email protected] 26 points 5 days ago (2 children)

I "love" the American modus operandi of getting involved in wars, making a big deal out of how strong they are, loosing, and then repeating the whole cycle again over and over again.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Actually, america is undefeated in war if you change both the definition of defeat and war.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 4 days ago

"We didn't lost in Vietnam, we just pulled out"

[–] [email protected] 18 points 5 days ago

It's a well oiled machine at this point.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 5 days ago (2 children)

They want to start another war? Are they not wearing themselves thin with Israel and Ukraine already?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 4 days ago

Think of all the money that the military contractors are not making! Next year the CEOs won't have to decide between a new jet or a new yacht, they could get both.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 5 days ago

One would think two wars would be enough, but evidently not.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 5 days ago

The American economy depends on the war budget.

They're all volunteers so hopefully every single one dies in pain and goes to hell.
