I'm currently going thru a severe mental health crisis. (I'll be safe, just miserable.) And I'd like recommendations for hauntology music. Anyone link a good playlist so I can give outta reality while hugging Basil? Photo is by my gay baby pitbull son.

Frutiger Aero is a great genre for this all around, and Cryo Chamber has a lot of dark ambient if you're feeling something a little dryer

Looked up the term hauntology... Easy bet is some Pagan folk. I've heard some electronic-influenced folk songs like an interesting version of John Barleycorn Must die. Also maybe some of the older Mountain Goats albums. Some of those cassette era things are rather ephemeral.
