Yeah it’s practically useless what happened, since the status quo isn’t going to change. Chagossians wont be returned to their home and the Imperialist still have a military base to disrupt and destroy global trade routes against china.

This was the most that was possible when using liberal global systems. Because the americans would never let it happen.
