Everywhere Maga has power they are trying to destroy the public education system. School shootings are useful to that end.

It would be hilarious to just respond verbatim with what trump and JD have said about school shootings...

It's a very terrible thing that happened. And it's just terrible to see that happening. It's just terrible. So surprising to see it here. But, we have to get over it. We have to move forward. We have to move forward. But, to the relatives and to all of the people that are so devastated right now, to a point they can't breathe, they can't live, we are with you all the way. We're with you and we love you and cherish you.

I mean, trump said that to parents who's kids weren't even fucking buried yet.

He didn't even get shot at this time.

Him trying to make this into a big deal is just asking to highlight how he doesn't give a fuck about his voters, he just cares about himself.

We need to treat trump like he's the problem because he won't accept that being American means you might get shot at any moment.

If Kamala really ovaried up and said:

If Trump doesn't like the second amendment he can move to Canada.

Then that would actually hurt his numbers with right wingers when he keeps complaining.

Two assassination attempts in two months, he should be upset and we do need gun control. But a republican can't say that and not lose voters. So make it so everytime he complains about it, he loses voters.

Ok come on now though guys, you have to admit that an attempted political shooting and a school shooting are far different, as the children are innocent.

[–] [email protected] 50 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They're shooting the wrong people!

[–] [email protected] 18 points 2 days ago (1 children)

This may have been said as a joke, but it's true, and also about as far as any Republican voter cares. They are not at all against political violence, as that is the explicit purpose of modern Second Amendment culture. Personal grievance murders like school and workplace shootings are just collateral that the ghouls write off.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the NRA became a highly political organization not long after desegregation and civil rights became settled, and you had to start treating black people like people in polite company.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago

The NRA supported California's Mulford Act, which prohibited open carry of loaded weapons in public. This act was in response to the Black Panthers choosing to carry guns to deter abusive cops.

The NRA isn't a gun rights organization. They are just Republicans.

Not an American, so this is without prejudice.

Either gun deaths are a fact of life or unacceptable. There is no in-between or grey area. It is hugely frustrating to see these shitstained mavens of policy and law swing wildly between these contradictory extremes. Pick a fucking side.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago

When you are famous you can do more than just grab people by their pussies you know. You can become president and make all kinds of excuses as to why the rules don't apply to you. Gun issues are only one of hundreds of things that these guys are wildly hypocritical about. If it weren't so serious it would be humerus as it applies to literally almost anything they talk about. The dumb part is voting for them doesnt get you invited to their privilege. Quite the opposite.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 days ago

Man, if only it were the politicians. Much of the public has some excuse for ‘needing’ their firearms. It could be self defense, it could be for fun, it could be to kill cops and government officials when ‘tyranny’ arrives (both sides play this part). Add the NRA to the mix along with a sprinkle of legalized corruption in the form of lobbying and BOOM. Deadlock.

[–] [email protected] 42 points 2 days ago (2 children)

And why are the shooters always Republicans? Why aren't they asking that question?

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

From what I've read he wasn't really a Republican exactly, but more of an independent with idiosyncratic beliefs who supported Trump and then became disillusioned with him. I don't think he ever identified as a Republican, even though he was previously a Trump supporter.

[–] [email protected] 48 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

So… basically a republican? That’s how they all describe themselves… they’re all independent thinkers who happen to align with the most popular racist. You know by chance…

[–] [email protected] 18 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Could have been one of them newfangled Libertarians, who align 100% with Republicans, but are independent thinkers because they consume "alt" media instead of Fox News.

They might even be mildly against Trump because they're such independent thinkers (translation: contrarian), and may vote 3rd party. That way all of the worlds problems are someone else's fault.

Selena was shot by her own friend/manager

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago

I would go to their groups and tell them this is the 2nd amendment in action against tyrants but they would ban me instantly.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 2 days ago (1 children)

At this point one can argue that these assassination attempts are just the will of the people exercising their 2nd Amendment rights. This is just normal everyday stuff you have to get used to, right Republicans?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago

Exactly. The Second Amendment was created so people can stop a country takeover.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 days ago

Thoughts and prayers, asshole.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 2 days ago

It's a cult of personality. Naturally, threatening the object of their obsession is going to create a strong response.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 days ago

Milking the air cocks, just like how he’s milking another fake shooting attempt .

Zero ear damage whatsoever from staged attack #1. Sentiment was not swayed. They’re trying to normalize attempts and incite violence by their weirdo whack job base. Elon was all but calling for whataboutism attempts on Joe/Kamala.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 days ago (3 children)

so what are they asking for, more guns again?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

Can we please throw in some tactical training this time?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

What saved the day was the secret service. With guns.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago

but with more guns they could have saved the day even harder.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 days ago

If everyone had a gun at the golf course, the higher the chances of a good guy with a gun.

Problem with this logic is bad guys shoots first.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 days ago

"Fight like hell"...

...to keep weapons of war in the hands of jackasses

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

All the more reason to conduct purges and Nights of the Long Knives by trump should he find his way to power somehow. Every good dictator looks to eliminate threats. From the gestapo rounding up regular people to having competitors declared traitors. They all get eliminated.

"You wouldn't know the assassin, they don't go here, they are from Canada and they are a model."

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Because one is targeting people (most of them) don't know and the other is targeting their god-emperor.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Targeting the head of state (or past head of state) is always going to rile people up more.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

Not really, in most countries I lived in, there have been more heads of state murdered than one can remember, while something like Sandy Hook would have a national day of remembrance.
