Butcher got bored. Had to. Nobody in a position to say no would have let this happen.

Maybe Texas is just crazy like that

[–] [email protected] 30 points 1 month ago

Can confirm, Texas is this crazy. I have seen this in multiple meat markets in the small town I'm from.

how is an agglomeration of meat in the shape of a turtle offensive?

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Imagine you are a turtle scrolling trough Lemmy and then you stumble upon this. How would you feel?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

same way i would feel if i saw an agglomeration of meat in the shape of a person i guess:

kinda disgusted, kinda interested about the reason someone would do such a weird thing

(seeing that brings out the same feelings, but less)

I hate this, it is revolting!

"more?"

Please!

Even though I'm a vegan and I'd prefer not to see displays of dead animals, I'm not as sensitive to seeing this. Others might be. No harm in adding an NSFW tag in my books

Edit: Guess I'll just go fuck myself for stating an opinion

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm not even vegan/vegetarian and I find it vaguely disturbing

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago

it IS disturbing because its an agglomeration of different types of meat in the shape of a turtle

but i dont think it should be nsfw

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

How is it not safe for work though? Nsfw isn't "potentially offensive" tagging.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's the closest to having a "trigger warning" tag, which doesn't exist afaik. NSFW, NSFL

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago (2 children)

the closest to a trigger warning is marking it as spoiler and saying what appears on the image in the title or description.

Humans are animals too. So, it's somewhat ironic that you've got a stylized exposed human skull as a profile picture.

Yes, I know it's from Diablo 2; great game!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

I'll be honest, I actually hadn't thought about that before - good point
