Can we place bets on how many reports this post will get?

[–] [email protected] 34 points 2 months ago

I have zero skin in the game and I was immediately tempted 🀣

[–] [email protected] 22 points 2 months ago

6 and counting

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 months ago

......reported :)

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago

Only nine! Those are rookie numbers.

Please post more pictures of the reportsπŸ˜†

The downvotes on this post hahahaha

I miss being able to see who had voted your post down, like early Kbin versions.

[–] [email protected] 30 points 2 months ago

The downvotes on this post hahahaha

I mean, the instructions were pretty clear: Β«Downvote and move onΒ»

[–] [email protected] 20 points 2 months ago

Pretty sure you still can, you just have to be browsing from an instance that gives normal users visibility to it.

Votes have to be tied to identities for federation of votes to work properly across instances, so that info is always available to the instance owner/admins, just not always visible to community mods and normal users.

It’s accessible actually

[–] [email protected] 20 points 2 months ago

A sub with literal rule β€˜be nice’ complaining about excessive reports

[–] [email protected] 15 points 2 months ago

Reporting this post.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 months ago

One of the community rules is be nice. Am I allowed to report anything I don't think is nice?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 months ago

The sheer pettiness of people on the Internet will never fail to amuse me.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Would somebody add a paid option to mega down vote?

Like, I'll pay a dollar for one chance to overwrite somebody's comment with "I am a giant peepeedoodoohead (or strike through their text would also be good)

This would work very well because on the one hand, I'm only going to do that to Giant peepeedoodooheads, and it costing a dollar would prevent me from doing it to every single one that I encounter, only the most atrocious, and it would allow me to financially contribute to this instance.

I'm pretty sure Something Awful used to have something like this back in the day.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 2 months ago

They did, but idk if the SA boards should be treated as the model forums should aspire to

make it so the price increases following Fibonacci numbers and use it to pay for hosting

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

How much would doing that for every comment that talks about socialism cost?'

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

I'd help you figure that out but that's socialistic

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Is there a way to see how many times you've been reported?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

If you report a post it shows you how many times it's already been reported

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

I don't think I've ever seen that, is that maybe instance or client specific? Otherwise I doubt that I've only ever been the first person to report a post.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

Maybe by asking the mods, and they do you a favor. Otherwise, the modlog only shows actions mods took, which doesn't include ignoring a report.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

We can do that!?!?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

It's lemmy.ml getting too used to their authoritarian bullshit.
