It's not surpising that Biden's vice presidents support eachother

[–] [email protected] 13 points 4 months ago (1 children)

This may actually count as self-dealing if you're a vice presidential unitarian.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Homoousion or homoiousian? Will this controversy never end?

[–] [email protected] 59 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I will not vote for someone Trump supports

[–] [email protected] 23 points 4 months ago (2 children)

so many rich people give money to every politician this almost means nothing

[–] [email protected] 35 points 4 months ago

It really slims down the list of people I can vote for. Typically write in the corpse of Lenin

[–] [email protected] 30 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I will not vote for someone who receives money from rich people.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

So you're not going to vote then?

[–] [email protected] 48 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I can't, my guy just dropped out.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago (9 children)

Seriously?

I mean, your guy received money from rich people too.

You'd rather give a psychotic fascist an extra point by not voting than to at least vote?

One of the potential worst settings for this country to be in and you're just going to turn your back on it.

I'm writing Biden in

I'm writing Hillary in

[–] [email protected] 20 points 4 months ago

For years, I've been told that Joe Biden is the only person who can defeat Trump. I'm ridin' with Biden, and you should too, unless you want Trump to win. Why... why do you want Trump to win?

[–] [email protected] 17 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Kamala doesn't have enough experience, I want the dems to nominate Jimmy Carter

[–] [email protected] 9 points 4 months ago

Michael Dukakis is still alive, just sayin'. He's 90 years young, which is basically just Biden's age plus statistical rounding error once you get to that magnitude.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Not voting means one extra vote for Donald Drumpf, sweaty maddened

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 months ago

Not voting for Biden is also an extra vote for Donald Johnald Trohnaldump, so therefore we cannot possibly vote for Harris, either, because to vote for Harris is to vote for the dang Cheeto.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 4 months ago

is this serious or just a bit? i would've assumed a bit but then i saw it was from lemmy.ml

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

Lmao great emoji

[–] [email protected] 42 points 4 months ago (1 children)

“I gave to many people before this,” Trump said at the debate today. “When they call, I give. And you know what, when I need something from them two years later, three years later, I call them. They are there for me.”

From the last time the press noticed something very similar

[–] [email protected] 34 points 4 months ago

Incredible he is more honest about bribery then 99% of anyone else who ever stepped near DC. I mean, he still does it, but at least he admits why he's doing it.

[–] [email protected] 28 points 4 months ago (2 children)

A vote for Kamala is a vote for Trump

[–] [email protected] 12 points 4 months ago

my household is laughing our asses off – this is how we're going to respond to the "Vote Harris!!!" exhortations

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 months ago

a vote for the vice president is a vote for trump

[–] [email protected] 25 points 4 months ago

That little AG was me volcel-kamala

[–] [email protected] 25 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Every time I see Trump's signature, it makes me think the theory that he's functionally illiterate is true.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 months ago (1 children)

On one hand yeah that's funny, on the other hand my signature usually looks worse than that. Between the ages of 15 and 22 I probably wrote with a physical utensil on actual paper two or three times.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

Yeah, but you're from a different generation. Every boomer I've met has had beautiful handwriting - or at least extremely legible handwriting. Trump is only 5 letters long, but look at his last name in his signature. Actual scribbles.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 4 months ago

Let’s see ol Donnie Boy wriggle his way outta THIS!

Pretty soon they're going to have to admit the "threat to democracy" stuff either is hyperbole or just not that important

[–] [email protected] 14 points 4 months ago

A threat to "neo-liberal Democracy" where votes aren't counted equally, corporations are considered people and money is considered free speech.

It's way more accurate to say a vaguely secular/agnostic capitalist olicharchy that makes token diversity and inclusion efforts towards marginalized groups is being theatened by a queer-phobic patriarchal white Christian theocracy.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I would be interested to see a source for this

[–] [email protected] 16 points 4 months ago

is this real?
