I get so embarrassed talking about this kink sometimes

Not it isn't. Whatever consenting adults enjoy doing together is good and fine.

It's super common actually, and i don't see anything weird about that. It's really not different than being into how a person looks, or how they feel, or how their voice sounds. A lot of girls like to sniff me when we have sex, and there's some people whose smell just makes me weak in the knees in the best way possible. I always smell the pillowcase after i've had my gal pal over, i know a lot of girls who sleep in a used t-shirt of their partner when they're not around specifically because it smells like them, i think armpits are also the most common kink on German grindr etc., it's really not unusual.

I read the title as something way worse at first...

but no I don't think it's wrong or even weird really, I don't see why sexuality shouldn't include all 5 senses

just don't be like the guy from Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, that would be taking it too far

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Absolutely that's how I feel. I just try not to be gross about or crude towards people.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yes, and no murders please

I think the bear website hashed this out once, and the conclusion was it's not brought up much on account that it's sort of awkward since people can't fully control how they smell, but it's also a very normal thing between partners. Also there's an entire "musk kink" (like the smell, not this billionaire-tears jackass) thing among tumblr transfemmes which was neato =)

I think as a fetish it's probably rarer, but "wrong"? Nope.

While I don't consider it a fetish I have a very strong sense of smell and it's very important to me with a partner.

I dated a smoker once and it was hell.

My partner smells nicer to me than baking bread or baby heads, which are the next two nicest smells.

I can often tell when she's getting sick before she can because her breath smell changes to a certain way.

actually believe it or not, this is the very first thing the bible forbids

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

genuinely why would it be wrong? is it bourgoisie to like how things smell now and no one notified me?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 months ago

Depends on the smell

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I'm only aware of having a really strong thing for someone's scent or body odor (both my wife and I). I don't see why it'd ever be wrong to have a fetish that isn't harming anyone else. So long as it doesn't result in sexual harasment or harm of other people, it's usually totally cool and something you should keep enjoying. It's a good thing, even.

Yes as I said I just try not to be gross or crude about it.

Though some of my boys (and even chick friends) act like I'm some sort of perverted goofball

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago

Get better boys tails-pout

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago

Yes I'm starting to think so.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago

Certain perfumes can get me floating through the air like a cartoon character smelling a pie cooling on a window sill. Yeah, it's def a thing.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It's not wrong but it's definitely the type of thing you usually keep to yourself. The thing to do is try and find somebody who can help accommodate you

no, I personally get so turned on by people wearing niche fragrances, like Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male

I get mad when people wear layered fragrances tho, they're so naughty

Compatible pheromones are an important part of human relations and that isn't kinky. If you are talking about huffing gasoline fumes or snorting tide pods that's a little different but still as long as you and your partner consent its fine.

I like the smell of my wife, always nice to wake up and smell her hair in the morning

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I really like the smell of ammonia for some reason

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago

Maybe it's the same reason I like the smell of bleach - it reminds me of time spent cleaning with someone I loved very much but who passed away long ago.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That stuff is awful.

Diethyl ether on the otherhand...

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The first time I smelled ether it became clear to me why it became a popular drug. It smells very good.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I would never drink the stuff but it's crazy to think that people regularly did.

I'm not sure how someone downs a bottle of it, it's pretty volatile and evaporates very quickly.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Didn't people just inhale it?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

They did both, drink or inhale. Crazy stuff.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

Most of the people I've dated have been obsessed with smelling me, so probably not.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

Is it like, vanilla or something?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

Straight to gulag. No musk kinks on my christian minecraft server.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Possibly unrelated but how are your other senses? What about sent in other contexts?
