Today I am doing a drawer sweep at work, looking through all the cabinets to find folders in places they shouldn't be and put them where they should. Then tonight I gotta figure out my school shit for Fall semester. Acting class tomorrow morning and then a date with a new lady friend tomorrow night.

That last bit kinda has me floating on a cloud. We're really vibing over text.

Shitty day at work yesterday. Won't go into details but I narrowly avoided an incident going on my record because a customer complained about me. Had to talk to three different people to get it resolved.

I just had to make a bunch of maps for a climatology report, that was fun.

And by fun I mean annoying as shit

made a potato & carrot fryup as a hangover cure for my buddy, had a call with my immediate family, gonna run my usual ttrpg over the internet in the afternoon and watch some kind of film with aforementioned buddy before bed

I'm heading down to a new fish spot I discovered yesterday while out for a hike. I'm bringing some dip nets, a seine, a GoPro and an observation tank this time to see what I find. Lots of green sunfish and bluegill that were visible from the shore, but I'm after some of the riverine darters that aren't in the shallower creeks around here.

Darters play an integral role in the food chain and a lot of local species are woefully understudied. I'm planning to collect a few such specimens for a biotope tank to see if I can learn anything about their spawning habits. My local fish club is tied to a nearby university and features some pretty big names in ichthyology among its members (brag), so I'm hopeful that I can make some useful contributions to some conservation work that they're engaged in.
