Friendly reminder to not use pokey thing into those grills, use a mounting putty, stick it on there and be satisfied when you pull it off. Same thing if you have wireless earbuds where one ear is a different volume.

I thought I was just going deaf.

You seem like a glass-half-full kind of person.

How do I solve a territorial dispute over who owns the one thunderbolt charger when there used to be two?

[-] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

Are you in the US? Then either guns or lawsuit

[-] [email protected] 28 points 1 year ago

Oh, is Biden injecting 5G into Czechs, too?

[-] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

Through speakers apparently. Some sound beams. Wait… can speakers produce 5G frequency? O.o

[-] [email protected] 16 points 1 year ago

Most of them don't go over 20kHz as this is the max a human can hear. The lowest 5G frequenzy is 450MHz, therefore no, even if you would use sound as a medium.

[-] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

I was being sarcastic but I learned something so thanks :)

[-] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Nah, just cash. That's why the bills are so cartoony now

Yeah, I know three such people, all various academics in Prague. There are barely any cities further east that are so welcoming to people like you. Other than the school shooting last Christmas, we don't really have much against American culture taking roots.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I've worked in pretty much every CEE country and usually many cities in each of them the last 24 years and really can't say I ever felt unwelcome, even in places you'd think might be less welcoming like smaller cities in Russia. There are certainly places that are easier to get around but I really can't say I've ever felt truly unsafe or unwelcome even when making questionable decisions. Of course shitty individuals exist anywhere, but I can't say I've run into more here than I have in the states.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

even when making questionable decisions

Well, unfortunately Prague is also quite full of scammers that will take advantage of your situation. I'm sure you've been told to be careful when exchanging money and riding taxis.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I've lived here for 24 years, I'm not a tourist ;-)

[-] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

English written in the czech orthography is cursed and i hate it

What's happening on Saturday

[-] [email protected] 30 points 1 year ago

That's when they send the mind control sound. If you don't destroy all the speakers by then, you will be under their control.

[-] [email protected] 27 points 1 year ago

Ah yes, the mind control sound.

[-] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago

It's now Saturday. What happened to those who forgot to do this?!?

Vampire iPhone, stake through the CPU

[-] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago

Has anyone clicked these to see what we must do?

[-] [email protected] 31 points 1 year ago

Once out of curiosity.

It's usually an ad ridden article with AI vomit to make it really long that eventually tells you there's a point update in iOS.

[-] [email protected] 25 points 1 year ago

Instructions seem quite clear- pierce your speaker with a toothpick.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Instructions unclear: I have ruptured my eardrum with 1840s style compass

[-] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago

It seems like alternatively you could cross the border to some other country and not have to do this anymore. Slovakia gets all the breaks.

I have no idea except in my head I’ve decided it’s about Eurovision.

[-] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

What real life event is this referencing?

[-] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Aubergine Sunday.
