They also bragged about ending child poverty in the 2022 election cycle and then got rid of pandemic help programs causing one of the most dramatic increases in child poverty in US history.

The economy is good tho. Get back to work.

Those kids can work at a slaughterhouse or a Burger King to increase the flow of treats. Poverty solved just like COVID was.

POV: You believe health care should be a right, not a privilege, in America.

Furthermore, we estimate that ensuring healthcare access for all Americans would save over 68,000 lives and 1.73 million life-years every year.
We calculate that a single-payer, universal healthcare system is likely to lead to a 13% savings in national healthcare expenditure, equivalent to over $450 billion annually.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8572548/

Every president or presidential candidate who is against universal healthcare is essentially saying that they are willing to allow a quarter of a million people to die (and waste 2 trillion dollars) over the course of their term in order to protect the profits of healthcare companies. Do they really expect us to forget the fact that most prominent Democrats supported that level of social murder only a few years ago?

[–] [email protected] 31 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I'll never forget that moment in the 2016 dem debates when they were asked if they supported universal healthcare to raise their hands, there were like 10 candidates up there including copmala and only Bernie and Elizabeth Warren raised their hands

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago) (1 children)

you must be remembering 2020? Kamala didn't run for president in 2016 and neither did Warren

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

And in the 2020 primary debates Harris did raise her hand and the next day her campaign staff walked it back. Twice, iirc.

protect the profits of healthcare companies

correction: The profits of private health insurance companies.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 7 months ago (1 children)

The big hospital chains are just as bad, if not worse

[–] [email protected] 13 points 7 months ago

Banks masquerading as health care providers. Raze them to the ground (in minecraft)

[–] [email protected] 44 points 7 months ago

So if you believe people should have healthcare, the last thing you'll see is these two ghouls with their shit-eating grins?

[–] [email protected] 44 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago) (2 children)

They technically did the meme right by accident.

[–] [email protected] 28 points 7 months ago

Yeah, it's pov because he's attempting to strangle you.

[–] [email protected] 35 points 7 months ago

I saw somewhere that they finally used the POV thing accurately because "you" (POV) actually believe healthcare is a right and you're looking at two people who don't.

[–] [email protected] 35 points 7 months ago

It's so embarassing even by lib standards:

the-democrat: "Ok, with the tax base we have....here's some of that to fund police..."

amerikkka-clap: "Ok."

the-democrat: "...And fire departments...."

amerikkka-clap: "Ok"

the-democrat: "...and a corn subsidy...."

amerikkka-clap: "Ok"

the-democrat: "And hospitals. I suppose they're infrastructure too."

joker-amerikkklap: "STOP RIGHT THERE, STALIN!"

Pov: you think I have a goldfish memory

[–] [email protected] 19 points 7 months ago

Every accusation a confession?

[–] [email protected] 32 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Somehow the replies are worse than this tweet.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 7 months ago (1 children)

The only people who would follow the US president's account on twitter would be people who want to yell impotently at them, so I'm guessing that's largely who the people replying are?

[–] [email protected] 23 points 7 months ago

I think yelling impotently is fine. That's what most of us can go. It's just that people are saying very stupid shit in there. I scrolled past 25 or so replies and only one correctly said that Biden has obstructed universal healthcare multiple times. Apart from that there is an obscene number of accounts, both of political organisations and ostensibly normal people, saying that by providing free healthcare you are stealing someone else's labour. Then there is a bunch of people saying Obamacare made healthcare moee expensive.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 7 months ago

"You thought healthcare was a right in America"

point-and-laugh-2

Something about that selfie gives me the "heebie-jeebies" what-the-hell it's so unsettling idk how to describe it apart from that weird word lol

[–] [email protected] 24 points 7 months ago

The angle of his arm is pretty strange for having a phone in his hand that he's controlling enough to take a picture. I think maybe he didn't take it, and it's the weird attempt at feigning a selfie that makes them look even more fake than usual.

That can be arranged. Come on up north, we're real friendly here. kkkanada

[–] [email protected] 26 points 7 months ago (1 children)

God I hate it when corporations etc try to do internet speak.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 7 months ago

Liberals are better off just appropriating the NAFO shit. At least that's in their ballpark for memes.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 7 months ago (2 children)

Can someone insert a gun in the pic?

[–] [email protected] 17 points 7 months ago

this will be your POV if you make a medicare4all post, and later you look towards the viewing gallery as your being strapped to the gurney in the execution chamber.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 7 months ago

They don't believe that. That's what makes me sick about it. It's not that it's shocking for them to lie, but something about this just disgusts me. Libs saying this is the most hollow and gross virtue signaling, ecause they 100 percent do not believe this

[–] [email protected] 16 points 7 months ago

I keep coming back to this post and getting angrier every time

the fucking gall

[–] [email protected] 15 points 7 months ago

"hey we saw you across the bar and we really dig your vibe, can we buy you a drink?"

[–] [email protected] 14 points 7 months ago

And when I say everyone should have access to healthcare, by "healthcare" I mean a violently drunk eugenics enthusiast who doesn't believe in germ theory rubbing powdered lead into your open sores, trying to drain you of what he calls your "mongrel blood" and having you lobotomized for suffering from "the hysterics common to the gender of cowards". I'm very, very old you see.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 7 months ago

Biden still on that gooning the libs bullshit huh?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 7 months ago

There's a real uncanny valley thing going on but it's still sort of realistic. Why is Kamala's hubby wearing a Biden mask anyway?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

the didn't make it completely illegal to access ✅
