I have used goodonyou.eco to see how brands rate in terms of labour commitments in the past. There's a UK brand called Where does it come from? That seems to rate well.

Where Does It Come From?'s environment rating is 'great'. All its products are Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified. It reuses its offcuts to minimise textile waste. Its use of eco-friendly materials limits the amount of chemicals, water and wastewater used in production.

Its labour rating is 'great'. It traces all of its supply chain. It ensures payment of a living wage throughout its supply chain. It audits its suppliers.

Its animal rating is 'good'. There is no evidence that it uses animal products but does not mention being vegan.

Where Does It Come From? is rated 'Great' overall

(di)Vision out of Denmark also looks like it could be alright.

It uses a high proportion of eco-friendly materials including recycled materials. It manufactures locally to reduce its carbon footprint. Its use of eco-friendly materials limits the amount of chemicals, water and wastewater used in production.

Its labour rating is 'good'. Its final stage of production is undertaken in Italy, a medium risk country for labour abuse. There is no evidence it has a Code of Conduct but it has a formal statement covering workers rights. It traces all of its supply chain. There is no evidence it ensures payment of a living wage in its supply chain. It visits its suppliers regularly.

Neoliberalism is rarely named by conservative politicians, let alone something they bicker about in public. It is, however, the doctrine the Coalition – and the Liberal Party in particular – has long championed.

It was embraced enthusiastically under John Howard’s government from the late 1990s, through market liberalisation, industrial relations reform, privatisation of state enterprises, financial deregulation and significant reductions in corporate taxation.

Neoliberalism is also the word traditionally used by the Left to criticise this policy agenda, particularly the inequality it fuelled by shifting power, income, and security away from labour and towards capital.

On the face of it, Hastie’s language overlaps with elements of that critique, for example when he says that “a lot of Australians feel like the system is rigged against them” and that “we’re experiencing a lot of economic pain” as the global order fractures.

OkCupid and Match settle with Trump FTC, don’t have to pay any financial penalty.

“While we do not admit any wrongdoing, we have settled this matter with the FTC with no monetary penalty to resolve an issue from 2014 and move forward,”

When being against fascism gets you charged as a terrorist, you live in a fascist regime.

SINGAPORE, March 12 (Reuters) - China has ordered an immediate ban on refined fuel exports in March in a further step to pre-empt ‌a potential domestic fuel shortage caused by the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, four sources with knowledge of the matter said on Thursday. The ban, issued by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), includes shipments of gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, the sources said.

The halt applies to cargoes that had yet to clear customs as of March 11. The restriction on outbound flows goes beyond last week's move by Beijing urging refiners not to agree to new exports and to try to cancel shipments they had already committed to.

In short: A man who declared himself as "far right" allegedly threw abuse and punches at a dinner run by a Muslim community in Ballarat.

A Ballarat man who was at the dinner says the incident has left his children too traumatised to sleep in their own beds.

What's next? Police say the man was told to move on and no charges have been laid.

Support for violence to resist feminism was highest among adolescent boys (28%), followed closely by adolescent girls (21%).

Perhaps most alarming: roughly 40% of boys aged 13 to 17 agreed that women lie about domestic and sexual violence.

These results raise crucial questions going forward. We don’t yet know how these views have changed over time, whether they are on the rise and what the links are between violent extremism and the negative treatment of women.

In the email chain being circulated, Jeffrey Epstein is not shown “designing microtransactions” or issuing a direct instruction.

His role in the thread, as presented in the excerpts, is that he’s part of the conversation and a recipient/participant while other people talk through ideas about incentives, rewards, and using digital items as part of a broader behavior-shaping system.

The most direct “proposal-style” language in the excerpts comes from Bobby Kotick. In that message, he frames the topic as incentives and argues that the key isn’t just some abstract prize, but rewards that feel tangible or meaningful.

After Pablo Holman replies, the discussion becomes less about corporate incentives and more about ideological ideas.

The excerpt attributed to him is that he’s “all for indoctrinating kids into an economy.”

An account trading under the username "Magamyman" made more than $553,000 placing bets on the prediction market Polymarket that Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, would be out of power just before an Israeli strike killed him on Saturday.

....Under U.S. commodity trading laws, making trades based on death and war are illegal, since those kinds of bets create a financial reward for violence, human suffering and geopolitical instability.

They decided to wait and see if Trump won, and if Homan then accepted bribes. It would be a much more airtight case. So the Biden people handed the investigation off to the Trump people, no doubt holding out the vain hope that the career people would persuade the political people that someone taking a bag of cash was something that ought to be investigated.

The fucking ineptitude of the Liberal elites never ceases to amaze me.

They targeted gamers.

Gamers.

We're a group of people who will sit for hours, days, even weeks on end performing some of the hardest, most mentally demanding tasks. Over, and over, and over all for nothing more than a little digital token saying we did.

We'll punish our selfs doing things others would consider torture, because we think it's fun.

We'll spend most if not all of our free time min maxing the stats of a fictional character all to draw out a single extra point of damage per second.

Many of us have made careers out of doing just these things: slogging through the grind, all day, the same quests over and over, hundreds of times to the point where we know evety little detail such that some have attained such gamer nirvana that they can literally play these games blindfolded.

Do these people have any idea how many controllers have been smashed, systems over heated, disks and carts destroyed 8n frustration? All to latter be referred to as bragging rights?

These people honestly think this is a battle they can win? They take our media? We're already building a new one without them. They take our devs? Gamers aren't shy about throwing their money else where, or even making the games our selves. They think calling us racist, mysoginistic, rape apologists is going to change us? We've been called worse things by prepubescent 10 year olds with a shitty head set. They picked a fight against a group that's already grown desensitized to their strategies and methods. Who enjoy the battle of attrition they've threatened us with. Who take it as a challange when they tell us we no longer matter. Our obsession with proving we can after being told we can't is so deeply ingrained from years of dealing with big brothers/sisters and friends laughing at how pathetic we used to be that proving you people wrong has become a very real need; a honed reflex.

Gamers are competative, hard core, by nature. We love a challange. The worst thing you did in all of this was to challange us. You're not special, you're not original, you're not the first; this is just another boss fight.

I'm no defender of China, but this seems like common sense. If you shat on my front lawn, I'd expect you clean it up before we talk about modifying our shared fence.

"can't give this thing away unless I lower the price to probably $79k. Sucks."

A brand new AWD CT from Tesla is $79,990.

Headline is clickbait. Seller is a whinger. Trash all round. Saved you a click.

The cost of digital advertising cannot be justified by its effectiveness (or rather lack there of). We've collectively spent hundreds of billions of dollars creating the infrastructure for invasive hyper targeted ads that do not get better results than simple billboards and terrestrial TV ads even now. We've created a global economy of marketing, media, advertising and sales solely reliant on technofeudalist overlords who've provided very little actual improvement of anything.
