Lemmy.world allows way less reliable news sources so I'd say just move on and stop relying on an unreliable instance. They don't even allow archival links for the purpose of getting around paywalls but permit pay-walled links being posted.

he's one of the biggest simps for israel there was. lately people like candace owens etc are trying to launder his image and claim he was " this - close to turning on israel, which is why they killed him". just trying to cash in on his death, which hey, that's capitalism, can't fault her. but he was definitely a huge fan of israel. he called palestinians "stupid muslims". literally.

Honestly I think the people trying to launder his image are people who agree with him on everything else but also wish he had been anti-Israel, so now they want to tell themselves that this was who he truly was
