Just want to share this here because I think it's kinda funny.

I joined the iiSU (emulation frontend) discord server a while ago, but never really interacted there. A big controversy popped up yesterday about some nazi imagery and transphobic content, followed with an apology that's read a bit like a deflection really.

Ever since the server has been freaking out in all directions in the text channels, me and other users are calling for better moderation and for the channels to just be locked til they figure things out.

There's a bunch of transphobes, zionists and nazis there, with basically no action being taken.

A nazi fucker starts using antisemitic emotes and language, I call for their ban for being a nazi, they don't deny and then accuse me of being a communist and laughs at it, I tell them to follow their leader, I get immediately banned lmao.

The dude posted multiple antisemitic comments, but I guess telling a nazi to follow their leader is too much lol.

Edit: Looks like more stuff happened to the project in the meantime. The Memory Core just posted reporting that the head of the project, Usagi, stepped down, among other news regarding the project.

Edit 2: There's grooming allegations you can find on this megathread, fucking hell.

Thought about sharing this live I've just seen of comrades João Pitillo and Lucas Rubio about their very recent visit to the DPRK to attend the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea, including the military parade that happened in the commemoration.

This was extremely interesting and there's a lot of photos, jokes and anecdotes shared. Including about how the Koreans are fully aware of the propaganda and stereotypes shared on the rest of world and how they even joke about it.

As a few highlights, you can see starting at 01:06:04 a video of a new residencial district in Pyongyang full of very tall buildings. You can also see at 01:44:51 great photos very close of comrade Kim Jong-un after a speech he gave.

The whole live is in Portuguese, but the automated subtitles are good enough. The biggest issue I saw in the subtitles is that it gets a few things wrong, like not understanding when they say Juche for example.

With the recent victory of Mamdani, I thought about sharing this video by Marxist-Leninist content creator Jones Manoel.

The whole video is in portuguese, but the automatic subtitles from youtube are pretty good here, with a few exceptions like getting a few names wrong and confusing "Hollywood" with "Dutch" for some reason.

Still, comrade Jones take seems pretty solid to me. He's skeptical of Zohran's actual power to enact any meaning change in NY, while also acknowledging the historical significance of his win as a Muslim and Palestine supporter, specially because it happened in the heart of the empire.

He also throws shade and criticism towards China and Vietnam in regards to the Palestinian genocide, which I think are well deserved, and since he is someone that constantly studies Brasil, and talks primarily to a Brasilian audience, he also talks about it in the context of the video.

What do y'all think about his take?

So apparently there's a DPRK Black Metal band now??? If that's true this is sick! I don't tend to listen to Black Metal, but this sounds great.

The video is filled with libs saying all kinds of shit about it like you'd expect, but from a commenter that said they can understand Korean said that the lyrics are pro-DPRK.

There's also a message on their community tab on Bandcamp talking about self-criticism about the album art, possibly because of the image of their photo in front of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's statue you can still see in the youtube video? Tho it is apparently signed by Ri Kyong-suk.

What's the actual chance this is from the DPRK?

I have tried Thumb-Key before where I didn't really try to learn much, but since I recently decided to change my desktop layout to a variation of the Gallium layout called Lucens, I decided to also give Thumb-Key another try on my phone and it has been a pretty cool learning experience, I can definitely see the potential here once I get fast enough.

That being said I'm having trouble with some gestures that I can't get consistency with. Specifically Drag-and-return and Circular Drag.

With Drag-and-return, it only works on the letters that need swipe for me to capitalize them. And with Circular drag, I can't consistently make it work, doing the same gesture, it sometimes capitalize, sometimes not, sometimes input the number, sometimes not.

Is there some tips for getting this right?

If you haven't tried it already, I recommend it, this demo was super cool!

The game is absolutely gorgeous and I was hooked from the start. There was an issue with my controller inputs, but a option in the settings fixed it. And honestly, the game is super fun. I didn't fully grasp the combat since I was forgetting to use some of the combos I unlocked, but I liked the way it is done with attack delaying for new combo routes.

I also thought the story is interesting with the whole invasion and gods are now silent thing. I want to see how it develops.

I've found out about the game from this video by brasilian youtuber tvPH. I have CrossCode on my library tho I haven't played it yet, but playing this demo made me want to play that now since it's from the same studio. Here's the game on Steam.

Also, the spirit capybara is cuuute!

Everything I learn about Nazimongold is against my will.

Also not surprising that SomeZionistGamers is still so casually interacting with him in this post

Zuck finally decided to show his true face. I didn't think other social media would follow the Elon path, but here we are.

At this point I'm convinced decentralized social media is the only hope to scape this shit.

I expected nothing out of that hellhole, but damn.

I hope Zuckerberg gets pinched to death by a thousand crabs.

Some stuff is really bad in this comic, like how Lex out of nowhere managed to "fix" capitalism and how the ending says you have to combine both capitalism and communism lmao.

The movie is even worse having Superman kill Stalin because Gulag.

That being said, fuck does it have an amazing artstyle, aesthetic and some good moments. If only it wasn't so lib.

[-] KrasMazov@lemmygrad.ml 43 points 2 years ago

This video was tough to get through, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I really appreciate comrades Aleksa and Alex showing this bullshit for what it is, my only criticism is that they weren't harsher on it. Still, what the actual fuck? How can the original video even be produced in the first place? From the racist thumbnail to the actual unhinged content on the video, it is just completely absurd. Fucking hell, homeless people aren't even human to these guys, they are just content. And it has 7.5M views, I'm just gonna keep to myself what I think these guys deserve.

[-] KrasMazov@lemmygrad.ml 44 points 2 years ago

I used to lurk on r/196 a lot. Doing that actually helped push me further left than I was before and it felt like a safe space by being so pro-LGBT. But after becoming a communist, seeing how "anti-tankie" and liberal they often are, it's just sad really. I feel like there's a sizable portion of people there that just want to feel they belong and end up buying into the whole "anti-tankie" narrative without knowing better.

Also, this image in particular is fucking insulting. Equating us to nazis is not only revolting, it shows how little they understand of what they are talking about.

[-] KrasMazov@lemmygrad.ml 41 points 2 years ago

Oh just fuck off you transphobic, ableist piece of shit.

You come here saying the most ignorant, insensitive crap and then try to demand people to answer you?

And stop with the LGB bullshit. Will it take you imbeciles having your skulls literally crushed by fascists to realize that siding with this alt-right rethoric is the wrong fucking thing to do?
