Yes, they are. But posting this without context is misleading completely in the wrong direction.

I remember reading an article about how they tuned all of that way into the players favor because the subjective impression of the mathematical probability was far too negative and punishing.

The movie birdman!

I read about it as an piece of art and what I saw was simply boring.

I might not have understood it or have been in the wrong state of mind, idk.

No, not really. It stands well on its own.

Wreck it Ralph is made with such a love for (classic) gaming and in general being a really good animated movie I love it.

Also The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists! Is great and can be rewatched endlessly.

Then again, Idiocracy. Getting less and less funny and more scary as we come closer to that future.

Not everyone is the exploration type. Just saying, I love outer wilds.

Ping me by dm, I can help with local knowledge, ama.

Oh and except if you behave like a total lunatic even missteps would be fine since you're visiting. I wouldn't worry too much.

Maybe public transport. Always have a ticket ready, we're like Indiana Jones in the Zeppelin scene regarding that.

Good advice, no showing middle finger to unfamiliar people, can be fined a few thousand afaik.

A quick snappy ui would be nice. You know, like 15 years ago?

Oh yes so on board with you regarding Bethesda stuff. And it's always technically a mess, for premium price. Often multiple times!

I think some people like to set their own rules and live in those worlds while I can not oversee the deficiencies and exploit the hell out of it out of spite (eg looting a shop standing on the merchant because he can't see me doing it there)....

Expedition 33 was awesome although technically underwhelming (performance wise, not artistically!). But not anywhere close to Bethesda level things.

I'm on the ops side, engineer and thought I would enjoy it. But a few tries later the interface just didn't click with me.

I tried it just recently, loved the details world and everything. Still have men questions but I lost lots of packages in the first river and rage quit, it's just overwhelming.

The questions of what happens with this mission, packages, do I have to get them back, can I ignore it, will it bite me in the ass and so on are just lots of questions that are eating me up and I can not cope.

It should be a game, I want to enjoy gaming. I know thats a personal issue but damn I would've liked to enjoy it.

I purchased a set of new ones because they were old and brittle and one rubber has already split.

One of the three (2 front 1 back) I had to break apart with a pipe wrench to get it off because it was completely stuck.

So, we're in 2026. The process of getting into a new year is mostly a busy, loud thing.

How do you do it? Do you have any ways of coping or getting around the stress?

For me it's mostly limiting the amount of people and having a safe space to be able to go back to when needed. But I am pondering better methods.

Edit: I mean the new years eve, party and fireworks directly.

Hey!

If there's confusion related to the title, its just a reference that the system has won, I lost, once again.

So my paid for professional diagnosis is done for now, I am refused the official recognition as an Autist. It's all still there though.

I am livid. And empty.

I guess it's my fault since >40 years of adapting and masking can make you too social, that's what it broke down to. I am friendly and open and excel at masking.

They don't see the price I (we) pay.

Apologies for the rant. I need your support.

The Oktoberfest has been evacuated and closed down, pending to reopen at 5pm local time.

Development is ongoing and changing by the minute.

So here I am, pretty confident in what I am but diagnosis is upcoming but not yet done.

Still, for different reasons I am in therapy. It happens to revolve around generic stuff which might be useful for people who don't know themselves very well or have suppressed emotions or other stuff. All of which is definetly not me.

Mostly I know what he's getting at but I feel I am far ahead in my thoughts and out of his league.

I also know what some of the answers are going to be (both sides basically) but would like to ask for your experience with neurotypical therapists.

In short: I don't think they have any idea of our scope and can not apply their knowledge appropriately.

Edit: thanks for the answers (so far and maybe following)! The situation I stated left quite a bit out on details, especially the credit that I got on the right path due to the help of the therapy. Apologies for that. However, my focus was on the current state and that's where I was thinking of asking about your experiences.

Diagnosestellung (lemmy.world)
submitted 9 months ago by Strider@lemmy.world to c/autismus@feddit.org

Hallo zusammen.

Danke.

Hello!

Is there a place where one could offer stories which would be interesting to write to authors which might be looking for stories?

I have a life story to give and work out but I am no author, but I think it's worth telling.

Other than straight up paying a ghost writer, are there people interested in doing this?

Thanks
