Sad to see them already giving up on this. I have utmost faith that the Democrats will still be able to execute their primary purpose: to keep leftists out of office.

They successfully ratfucked the party's nominee in the 2021 Buffalo mayoral election. Why are they already so down on their chances of doing it here?

I literally learned what being gay was because there was a controversy in the 90s with Falwell and Co demanding a boycott of Disneyworld over a gay pride event.

I saw it on the news and asked my parents what "being gay" meant leading to the most uncomfortable explanation ever from my (formerly) conservative parents.

I think the thing that makes other comms the angriest is that hexbear generally views Russia's actions in Ukraine as anti-imperialist and therefore worthy of support.

Other things that make them mad include full-throated support for modern-day China and Cuba, skepticism of the western narrative about North Korea and Venezuela, and support of the historical USSR, GDR, Yugoslavia, etc.

They stopped doing their bread-and-butter Quick Looks sometime after they got bought by Fandom. Quick Looks were how I got into their content in the first place. I think this is a positive indicator. It's a much better format than just streaming a game.

Cory Booker has been filibustering for a while, but there's no legislation that he's stalling.

And only like, what, 2 months after enthusiastically voting for the person who argued that continuing that program and continuing to pay them less than minimum wage was necessary?

The invention of the "study" as a pressure release valve for activism was truly a masterstroke.

the guy I'm supposedly counting on to address the climate emergency just hiked up tariffs on solar panels

the guy I'm counting on to restore abortion rights is, himself, anti-choice

This mf just fell out of a coconut tree. He doesn't realize that he exists in the context of all in which he lives and what came before him.

they largely took it for granted that their immediate universe was a static place where nothing would ever happen.
