Yeah, I was on db0 before I moved to hexbear. Aside from actually just coming to conclusions that conform to historical materialism in regards to the position of the USSR, one of the reasons was that muh "tankies" weren't actually that bad to hang around with on Hexbear when I lurked there. This declaration was literally just preceded by some liberal moron professor calling a handful of leftist students the "Khmer Rouge" and them being associated with a marginal leftist party in Serbia, which itself he alleges is being financed by the CPC (even though he doesn't provide any evidence for either of these claims whatsoever). He made these claims alongside accusations of this "minority" of students "sabotaging" the "majority" from voting to participate in the elections. Did I mention he considers it a bad thing that the students are anti-NATO? (like they didn't literally bomb the country, how could they possibly dislike them?). Because this request for the elections is gonna be accompanied by a list comprised of professors chosen by their students, there's a decent chance this fucking charlatan makes it on the list of those 250 professors. Makes me scared of the possibility these professors might be majority pro-EU, which doesn't bode well for the geopolitics of the country, especially not at this fucking moment.

@Eldungeon2@hexbear.net They were coopted in years past by the neolib opposition, but this one is the initiative of the students, so the likelihood of it happening is pretty slim (at least not by the opposition). Also, as far as I'm aware, occupy was just camping on wall street, not literally obstructing government institutions from working like it's happening here.

@starkillerfish@hexbear.net I'll probably do a write-up when I get my bearings in order. As for the universities, I don't think it makes a difference as long as there exists a mechanism by which students can legally organize and close it down in protest.

What I forgot to mention is that the protest was attended by some 100k people, one of the largest in Serbia ever. Oh, and here's eurofucks getting what they deserve
