So it seems that CopperByte turned the Euro-Game Ticket to Ride into an Amiga Game. Looks very promising and you can play it in good old Hot-Seat Fashion with up to 5 Humans and or Computer Players.

I'm running a plipbox on my Amiga 600 and was until recently using Miami DX for connecting to the Network and Internet; but was frustrated that it took nearly 2 Megabytes of Fast RAM and also disconnected after a while for some reason (turns out I was simply using a trail version, but the MUI never stated it as such)

Now I tried Roadshow another TCP/IP stack which doesn't use UIs and is instead configured and installed via CLI. And now the magical thing:

As soon any application calls bsdsocket.library (which is the library used for opening/closing/sending/receiving packets via tcp/udp) Roadshow will activate (and only consumes 300kb Fast RAM) and transparently enables network communication.

Roadshow also comes with a whole suite of networking tools like ping, ftp,...

so all in all the asking price of 25 Euro is absolutely worth it, when you want to bring your classic Amiga into the network.

I can't believe it. JavaScript truly is everywhere, even on our beloved 68k Amigas! It comes built for 68k and 68020 and with a lot of example code that showcases the native bindings for networking, GUIs and such.

I can imagine that programs aren't as performant as written in C or even Pascal but hey, when all you know is JavaScript (which is the most familiar to me)...

So I just watched a youtube video of Virtual Dimension playing this game; and I was giddy the whole time. Such smooth scrolling and nice graphics, the gameplay is also nice. You are an adventurer in a puzzle like tomb, evading or zapping hostiles, in the search of energy-cells to complete levels.

All you need is an Amiga 500 (with 512kb RAM expansion) with atleast Kickstart 1.3

Ich hab mich jetzt mal für eine Stunde dran gesetzt und auch mal eine Capsule aufgesetzt. Mit Agate und nem eigenen Server (und sei es nur ein VPS/Vhost) ist das verdammt schnell gemacht.

Mit erschrecken musste ich dann auch feststellen, dass beim schreiben der Seiten ich direkt die Zeit vergessen habe (zum Glück war die Pizza noch nicht im Ofen :D)

Heya, anscheinend gibt es bei mir im Betrieb Bewegung in zu OpenSource (auch wenn sehr zarghaft) und in diesem Sinne wird unser Bitbucket durch Gitlab ersetzt.

Da dies allerdings nur ein Puzzleteil der Atlassian Suite ist, und wir intensiv Confluence (und Jira) nutzen, wollte ich euch mal fragen, was ihr denn so im Betrieb nutzt um Wissen zu archivieren und die Übersicht über euer Team/Projekt zu behalten und zu managen.

Ich kann mir, da mein Betrieb aktuell noch eine on-prem Lösung nutzt die aber ja nicht mehr von Atlassian unterstützt wird, gut vorstellen das wir früher oder später wechseln und da würd ich gern mit Erfahrungsberichte um die Ecke kommen.
