Also - it would probably be a good idea to ditch the Reddit logo in the community header.

FYI if you include a link formatted as !letstalkmusic@lemmy.zip it makes it easier for people to open the community from other instances.

I guess it's specifically "insert copied cells" that I was thinking of.

I have to use Excel for work. When I right click to paste data, now there's a bullshit Copilot command right where Paste (edit: actually "insert copied cells") used to be. I swear they chose that spot just because it's used a lot and they knew they could cram it in more people's faces that way.

Come on, "polyrule" was right there

We're getting lots of great bike infrastructure around the waterfront lately, and this looks like it will be a nice addition.

Neat! What do the different colors mean?

Biggest thing that stuck out to me:

spoilerIn the last two screenshots you can see a line reading "DELETE THIS M***********, HAHAHAHAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa". The start of the line is obscured but it very possible could read "BUBBLE:". I've seen speculation that Bubble is what's left of the other AI (that Caine "ate" in the starting sequence) and this would definitely support that theory.

I was in this area recently and was struck by how different it feels now, so I looked up these street view images showing how much it's changed. These are in almost exactly the same position.

Now that we can use the internet to access almost anything you'd want to see and/or hear, we should make museums that archive different smells. You could find new smells you might have not experienced otherwise, or find some nostalgic smell to bring you back to a moment in your past.

I've been completely obsessed with Silksong since it came out, and although I've never really done any speedrunning, after getting 100% completion I decided to go for it. Managed to beat the game in under 5 hours, on my fifth attempt (including a couple I ended very early).

I mostly followed this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3569566036

Also helpful to use a full map like this one: https://www.polygon.com/hollow-knight-silksong-interactive-map-full-pharloom/

A few changes I made to the above route, mostly to make later boss fights I was having trouble with easier:

  • There's a craftmetal you can pick up in The Marrow (big room west of the Hunter's March entrance), which is a lot easier than the Underworks one.
  • For my fifth run, I didn't buy any maps, which is helpful to save up for some of the stuff below. After a few attempts, and with the above references, they weren't really necessary.
  • While in Deep Docks I visited Forge Daughter to buy a crafting kit.
  • After getting the wall grip in Shellwood, I picked up enough mask shards to get an extra mask before the Widow fight. You should already have one from Far Fields, and there's one in Shellwood you can pick up while there. I then went back to Deep Docks to get one near the west entrance (which needs wall grip), and then from Shellwood west to Wormways to get the one west of the Craggler room.
  • Also while in Shellwood I did the quest to get the Pollip Pouch.
  • While going through Sinner's Road, I did Crull and Benjen's quest to hunt Muckroaches, to get the Tacks tool (great for the Forum fight).
  • Once the Songclave wish board appears, I did the Wandering Merchant quest to get Jubilana back, to buy Ascendant's Grip (useful in the Forum fight). While rescuing him you can stop by Whiteward for the Injector Band.
  • Once you have 400 rosaries, head back to Pilgrim's Rest to buy a tool pouch and a memory locket.
  • In the final descent in High Halls, I stopped by the room on the left to get the Cogfly weapon (needs 1 craftmetal).
  • It may not be necessary, but I picked up a few other tool pouches and crafting kits before the tough fights at the end. You can get one from the dagger throwing game in The Marrow, and one from the craw killing wish at Halfway Home. I think they were worth it for me, because I managed to beat the Forum on my first attempt, which was not something I expected to be able to do.

Final loadout was Pollip Pouch, Injector Band, Ascendant's Grip, Cogfly, and Tacks.

I hope somebody finds this helpful!

Next up is Steel Soul I guess?

This started happening when I got the update to 314. When I click a post that links to another site, I get this error and can't open the link.

I think they're onto something. In fact, these water mountains seem to be so common, it might just be one big water mountain that covers the whole planet, and is so big it eventually wraps around and meets itself at the bottom.

Some tourists in the Museum of Natural History are marveling at some dinosaur bones. One of them asks the guard, "Can you tell me how old the dinosaur bones are?"

The guard replies, "They are 65,000,011 years old."

"That's an awfully exact number," says the tourist. "How do you know their age so precisely?"

The guard answers, "Well, the dinosaur bones were sixty five million years old when I started working here, and that was eleven years ago."

Years ago, I had to do customer service training for a job, and one thing they said is to always say "you're welcome" instead of "no problem", because some people think "no problem" is rude. But I think it's a generational thing, and it's kind of the opposite with younger folks.

Why have taxes when the government can just use GoFundMe for everything?

Hmm, these huge trucks are killing pedestrians, causing worse crashes due to crash incompatibility, destroying the climate, and now smashing through guard rails and flying off cliffs. We'd better change our entire country's infrastructure to accommodate them.
