What’s the actual origin of based anyways? Last I checked it came from a musician popular on 4chan. Probably doesn’t count as leftist if so.

He has no other endorsements of any other politicians except Bernie in 2016. I would say pretty based.
Does that make the meme so? I don’t know, but claiming something is left ought to have at least something behind it. I’m not going to dig deep into his life to figure out if he is a comrade or not, I didn’t make the claim.
His music is certainly enjoyable though if nothing else, and he predicted multiple trends so he is clearly ahead of the curve.
