They are two cats: a boy and a girl. They are in good health and have basic feeding requirements. No medications. No history of aggression towards people (boy cat has been territorial around other cats besides his sister).

I just had a lawyer tell me that I should abandon hope of being put back into my apartment after my roommate illegally evicted me. That means I have to reckon with finding a job and a place at the same time. And I just don't believe it's going to work out right away such that my cats and I can stay together in motel rooms until it's all straight. I promised them that everything would be okay and we'd all be together in the end.

There are long term boarding places around that will take them for as much as rent is for a 2 bedroom apartment around here. If I have to be homeless for a while to make sure they're safe that's what I'll do.

This isn't happening immediately, I don't think. Although probably sooner rather than later as I wrap my brain around the new situation. I just want to know that they have somewhere to go that isn't a pound or a new 'forever home' where I'll never see them again. They're all I have anymore.

I'm willing to give more details in the comments or DMs.
