For OP, this joke is as old as the subreddit itself, even back then the association with the CTH pod was threadbare and sometimes mutually hostile
The pod always hated the subreddit too
Which is just so
they built a brand on being snarky assholes but their relationship to the pod was frankenstein to the monster if frankenstein mentioned the monster like three times in total.
