Why anyone would want to play a game that sells items for tens of thousands of dollars is beyond me
counter strike?
Well... technically, Counter-Strike doesnt sell the skins for that much. That's a player driven market. Shows you how much people care about a gun being a different colour, which is crazy in itself.
"A different color"? That's a gross oversimplification of some of the incredible art you can get. Sure it's kind of a weird medium if you think about it, but it is art appreciation nonetheless.
I think that's different but the gambling is gross
I mean, the game itself is free to play, and sometimes it's even fun!
Also no part of the actual game is locked behind paying, only cosmetics.
I don't play this game. Is it an in game economy or like does the company sell these items?
The company sells them

No way I'm paying real life money to buy in game assets. I think we all know this is going the route of Duke Nukem whenever.
They got that out whole Jon St. John was still alive.
This has to be money laundering of some kind
The company sells basically jpegs of ships they want to bring into the game at some point with unknown strength for high sums of money.
What the fuck
