I'm so glad this site is coming around to understanding that DiCaprio is just a chill dude and nothing about him continuously pursuing women who are easily young enough to be his daughter is concerning. They are old enough to drink, and as far as he and we are concerned that's really the only factor to consider in terms of anything to do with age (just a number at that point on), and everything else can be shuffled off into vague gesticulations at "power dynamics" that allow us to invent justifications one way or another in any situation short of the most brazen cases of abuse while completely ignoring any other considerations for why people with a habit of pursuing much younger partners might represent a problem.

I think DiCaprio has dated women younger than 21.

Also the real creepy thing with him is that he pretty consistently dumps them after a certain age. There's a big difference between dating someone younger and dating someone cuz they're younger and he's clearly the latter.

The main difference in his case is brazeness, which is not the only thing we should consider.

What is your solution and when should it be applied?

It's the parable of the blind men and the elephant: "Should I be allowed to date someone much older than me?" and "Is there a problem of people pursuing much younger partners as a form of abuse?" can both be answered with yes; however if you're only touching on the one question, some number of people could wrongly infer that the answer to the unadressed question is "no".

I don't think it's really that different from, say, whether trans people should be allowed to date cis people. You can say yes to that, but that doesn't mean you're in favor of chasers abusing people, right? Ultimately, what's important is that people have the knowledge they need to identify people's motives, identify when they're being exploited, build equitable relationships, and keep escapes ready if necessary; that they have friendships and other resources at their disposal so that they can't be isolated; that sort of thing.
